All dartboard owners should buy this product!

This is a very handy item for anyone who owns a dart board. My board is actually hung in a room with cement floors, so the darts can take some damage if they hit the ground. This mat helps increase the longevity of any dart, steel or soft tipped. Plus, the mat offers accurate throwing lines for both steel tipped and soft tipped players, so the mat is not only practical, but also versatile. Consider buying this mat the equivalent of buying insurance for your darting hobbies. DEAL!

I only have two issues with this product

I only have two issues with this product. Overall I like the product except that if you put it on top of carpet, it won't stay in place and there's nothing included that will hold it in place. Essentially, everytime someone throws darts - and retrieves their darts, the pad moves away from the dart board by an inch or two. So you constantly wind up adjusting its placement. I'm still looking for a way to secure it in place. The only other issue that I had is that when it arrived it had a very strong terrible plasticy smell that stunk up my basement for a couple weeks. Other than that it's a nice product and I haven't seen any alternative products that I would have preferred over this one.

Nice product, a little over-priced

I ordered the Viper Padded Dart Mat as we have hardwood floor in our games room, and wanted to protect it as best as we could. The mat is cushioned and comfortable underfoot. The oche (throw line) is very subtly marked, which makes it a little difficult to see, but also helps the mat to look more like a floor mat than a dart mat. A few practice throws into the mat were successful with no penetration into the floor underneath. The mat is a good length, but a little narrow. All-in-all it's a great product, a little pricey, but not as expensive as replacing wood floor planks. Recommended.
