When I first held it on hand, it's like feather; too light weight to feel substantial. On careful examination the quality of the pen amazed me. After filling it with Parker Quink Ink it writes smoothly. The flow of ink is steady and consistent, always writes well first touch on paper. I own many more expensive fountain pens but none write with better fluidity than this Pelikan. The pen looks about an inch shorter than a similar edition of Mont Blanc. When open in the writing configuration, it extends a little. With my small hand it holds comfortably. I love to hold it on hands and admire its manufacturing quality. I only wish its window for the ink level were larger and clearer.

Simply the highest quality in the bunch. Makes writing a pleasure.The only problem I have is that I ordered two and only received one.
