By Tim
It sounds fine for a harmonica, but it isn't outperforming other models. It comes in an "A" key, which must be Tyler's preference. If you are getting this as a gift do realize that "C" key is the best for starting out as it is kind of the middle of the road standard. The case is disappointingly cheap for this harmonica. Its packaging is similar to the knock-off fragrance packages at your corner drug store. Since this is more of a collectors item the packaging should be display worthy. As a Steven Tyler fan this could be a fine as a collectors item (in a different case), but if you desire it solely for a harmonica your money is better spent elsewhere.Pros:+Collectors item+Performs wellCons:-Overpriced-Cheap packagingOverall, I would love to give it less stars, but that would be unfair to its value as a collectable item for fans. The harmonic is fine, just get a different case and enjoy it with all your other Steve Tyler memorabilia. If you aren't collecting it save some money on a equal quality harmonica elsewhere.

This seems like a nice harmonica. I gave it as a gift to a 12 year old and he seemed impressed. I did have a couple of issues about it though. It comes in a shiny black presentation cardboard box. The box was just manually taped closed with scotch tape and I had to be very careful removing it to keep it from tearing the paper on the box. The box contains the harmonica and a plastic carrying box/case. The carrying case seems pretty cheap and both items are jammed tight into the display box and were really difficult to remove. I though I was going to break something trying to get it out. I got it for what I considered to be a fair price (40ish) via gold box but the original price was listed at over 600 which obviously made no sense. Amazon said they would look into it, but that it's up to the vendor to set that price. a web search easily turned up an original price of 99 which I could see as reasonable. The price issue is not part of the rating above.

It's a great harmonica, I wish it came in other keys than A though. I don't know why it costs so much here but you can pick one up at Guitar Center for about $35 and save yourself a bunch of money. Plus: who doesn't love a trip to the Guitar Center?
