The 53009 universal application catalytic converter was purchased for my application to pass the visual portion of the Virginia state inspection. My car has a full 3" stainless turbo back exhaust but is catless. This Magnaflow cat fit very well, it is a very compact design, not as small as a spun metal catalytic converter but much cheaper. It was welded in my application, the steel is plenty thick and clean for welding. No issues with ground clearance. Made no noticeable difference in sound or flow. Overall 5 stars *****
