Really Sticks

After looking over several of the inexpensive portable grab bars and reading about the problems people had with them coming loose, I decided to spend the extra money on a quality product.The Bridge medium telescoping grab bar is a HEAVY DUTY item and is extremely sturdy and solid with giant (about 4"+ diameter) suction cups. Using this on a perfectly smooth cultured marble shower, after the ends are locked down, I have been unable, despite my best efforts, to pull this thing loose, even bracing my feet against the wall and pulling with my entire body weight. The suction cups can take some doing to get loose even after the ends are unlocked!Make no mistake: this is a premium product with a premium price, but I think you get what you pay for. One caveat is that the maximum 24" length is measured from each end of the suction cups, so that the actual length of the usable grab bar when fully telescoped is more like about 15".All is all, though, I would highly recommend this item as an aid for use in any shower or bath, so long as your walls are smooth.

A manufacturing defect, but great customer service

My father was partially disabled from a recent stroke so we want more support around the house. He really wanted to use a shower chair instead of a tub transfer bench, so we had to get something for the fiberglass shower enclosure. You aren't supposed to drill holes in the fiberglass; they say it will leak. We first tried a $15 suction cup handle from a discount store. While I know that most of the success of a suction cup is surface preparation, and that you are only supposed to be using it for balance -- a $15 unit doesn't give me a lot of confidence. Also, it's just a handle, not a bar. I wanted professional grade equipment.Besides the solid huge suction cups, I like the textured plastic on the bar. Definitely not slippery and gives it a comfortable feel. I was able to install it vertically onto the fiberglass shower wall. The wall is mildly fluted about every 10", but near the exit the wall is flatter and it works well there.The first grab bar Amazon sent wouldn't fit together; the spring-loaded peg wouldn't snap into the suction cup on the non-extending end because the hole was drilled too far up. I did a free exchange with Amazon and had the same problem with the replacement. Tried to exchange again; Amazon issued a refund and said the item would be unavailable until they fixed the problem. After a couple weeks I ordered it again; same problem. I was seriously tempted to take a file to the plastic at this point, but for $100 I shouldn't have to!I contacted Bridge Medical via their web site and they shipped me a good one right away, without even a credit card while they waited for me to return the other one. I'm pleased with their customer service. Hopefully Amazon will isolate and fix their bad stock.

I have had this bass for about two years and i absolutely love it. The only problems i have ever had with it is the cord input jack which has come loose a couple of times. I just took it into my local music store and they fixed it under warranty. Totally recommend

Great

I wanted an ESP guitar when I was a teenager. I got this bass about five years ago, and I love it. I no longer am interested in playing the guitar and sold an American Stratocaster and got this to replace it. The bass is more fun and I like playing on it more than the guitar. This is a solid instrument and I like the simple design. Unfortunately their are a few cosmetic issues that I have with this model, but it's still great.

A great telescope for the price. This is the first telescope I've had with a motorized controller. It works great. As stated in the instruction;setup is critical. The unit must be aligned with South first. A compass is a must. The leveling procedure is next; it also is critical.The setup instructions are okay. I had to print out the online manual for clarification.Enjoy with your family.

Update:Missing part

This seems like a great telescope for the price.... However it is missing a very important piece upon arrival. I completely assemebled it to find out the 5x24 finderscope is not there. I am very upset. I bought this for my son's birthday and I need all of the pieces asap. Please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you. When I have all of my pieces I will rerate this item. Until then it gets 1 star. P.S. There was no customer service number or seller e-mail anywhere on Amazon that I could find. (I called the customer service number on the packaging but they were closed).UPDATE:I e-mailed the customer service at ioptron from the their website and was immediately responded back to. Although the advertisement states that this product includes a finderscope, the customer service at ioptron said that this model stopped coming with finderscopes (even thought there is a slot for them) in 2008..... They shipped me out a finderscope free of charge (normally $25 due to this error. Great customer service, great poduct, but someone needs to change the details of what comes with a telescope that costs over $300. As a consumer I expect to get what I pay for and what is promised. Thank you John with ioptron for your help.P.S. very speedy delivery. I got this telescope the day after I ordered it. It is VERY BEAUTIFUL and easy to assemble.

Would Make Any Self-Respecting Pirate Proud!!!

My wife and I purchased this costume as a gift for my dad. I had purchased the same costume a couple years ago for Halloween. After seeing pictures of my costume, my dad wanted to borrow it to wear on "Pirate Night" on the Disney Cruise they were going on. The cost to ship it to him and back to me didn't make any sense (we live in different states), so we decided to surprise him with this gift. And surprised he was!!!It was a big hit, he got rave reviews on his costume from none other than Captain Hook himself (remember, it was a Disney Cruise) and the other crew members. I forgot to mention, my dad is 75....but still a kid at heart!

Making lives better

I am happy to say that a member of my family was fortunate enough to obtain one of these. Because this person has had a number of medical procedures recently, getting around the house has been a bit more of a challenge than it may have been in the past.There are a number of ways to address this, but not one that costs less than $100. To retrofit a home with permanent bars would have cost well into the thousands, but this bar is perfectly mobile and can be placed virtually anywhere in the home where someone might need an extra hand at a particular time.As well, this product has been failure proof from day one. It has not even slipped a single time with the many times it has been used. That is very important since a failure like that could potentially cause significant injury.I would recommend this product to anyone who is considering a low cost and highly effective temporary solution for themselves or for someone who is in need.

Strongest on the Market Today

Please allow me to take this opportunity to respond to some of the comments a small percentage of Amazon's customers have had regarding their disappointment with our Portable Grab Bars.Bridge Medical Portable Grab Bar's are intended to be used only on smooth, non-porous, flat surfaces. We've tried to make it as clear as possible - if you intend to use them on tiles, the minimum diameter of the tile needs to be 5 inches or greater for our 4.7 inch suction grip models. Our current lineup of Portable Grab Bars have suction cup diameters of 4.7 inches, and so they do not work on 4 inch or smaller tiles. Suza and Robert are correct in their assessment to 'be sure your tiles are large' enough - and it's unfortunate that they attempted to adhere our Portable Grab Bar over grout lines which we specifically state numerous times not to do under any circumstances.With regards to Suza's comment that our PGB's 'look imposing' or 'feel as if you're in a medical setting', I would have to respectfully disagree, as would most of our happy customers. Our products were designed specifically to look great in any decor while holding stronger than any other device on the market. If you compare our products to the other 'suction grab bars', you will see that our products differ in looks significantly and most agree, for the better. But safety is the most important trait to have in these devices and ours are VERY strong, which makes them slightly bigger than the $10 suction balance assists that can't compare to our SAFETY FIRST products. We receive comments daily from happy consumers that love our product for its looks, but bought it for the safety it gives them or their loved ones.In fact, our Single Grip (BC201) was just tested by a 3rd party to hold up to 365 lbs of pull pressure. To put that into perspective, the average human male in his 20's can pull about 120 lbs of pull pressure before his grip releases. In other words, when our Portable Grab Bars are affixed to the proper surface, it takes an extraordinary effort for it to release, an effort most humans can't exert. Time up

I did much research on this type of item and found this to have the quality and safety features I was interested in. The only downside to this product is that it needs to be taken off the wall after each use. I left it adhered and within 24hrs it was on the floor of the shower. I thought it would be a more permanent fixture than that. I didn't read this on the product description, only on the insert of the product after purchase.

Much better than a wet saw!

I used the TS60 and TS40 (Felker TS-40 Rubi Tile Cutter) tile cutters for years when I was a tile installer. They are so much nicer to use than a wet saw. They are light weight, don't make a sloppy mess, and you can keep it right by your side when making cuts. The TS60 is quite a bit more expensive than what you will pay for a scoring cutter at Lowes or HomeDepot but the quality is in a league above. The cheap cutters are a pain to use and you will often have a hard time getting a clean cut.The TS60 is nice because it can cut 18" tile on the diagonal. It doesn't work with all porcelain though. It's best to get a piece and do a test cut to see if it will work. Some porcelain just requires a wet saw. I try to avoid those types of tile.One other thing to mention is that you cannot make corner cuts with this saw. For those type of cuts you will have to use a wet saw. Or do what I prefer and use an angle grinder with a 4" diamond blade.

Awesome Guitar

I got this guitar because i had recently purchased an electric guitar and thought it was time to pick up an acoustic, fortunately i got this one! i got it in about 3 days and it was avalable at a really good price. The guitar came with basically everything you need to start playing and the chromatic tuner it came with was even better then the one that came with my electric guitar! This guitar has a GREAT sound and quality, i would definately buy it again!

The unit must be aligned with South first. A compass is a must. The leveling procedure is next; it also is critical.The setup instructions are okay. I had to print out the online manual for clarification.Enjoy with your family.

good scope for the price,

This is a good scope for the price. It is a little complicated to use but easy to figure out from the instructions. You also need a compass to get correct alignment,

Update:Missing part

This seems like a great telescope for the price.... However it is missing a very important piece upon arrival. I completely assemebled it to find out the 5x24 finderscope is not there. I am very upset. I bought this for my son's birthday and I need all of the pieces asap. Please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you. When I have all of my pieces I will rerate this item. Until then it gets 1 star. P.S. There was no customer service number or seller e-mail anywhere on Amazon that I could find. (I called the customer service number on the packaging but they were closed).UPDATE:I e-mailed the customer service at ioptron from the their website and was immediately responded back to. Although the advertisement states that this product includes a finderscope, the customer service at ioptron said that this model stopped coming with finderscopes (even thought there is a slot for them) in 2008..... They shipped me out a finderscope free of charge (normally $25 due to this error. Great customer service, great poduct, but someone needs to change the details of what comes with a telescope that costs over $300. As a consumer I expect to get what I pay for and what is promised. Thank you John with ioptron for your help.P.S. very speedy delivery. I got this telescope the day after I ordered it. It is VERY BEAUTIFUL and easy to assemble.

GREAT DEAL- VERY HAPPY WITH PURCHASE

The Dark Queen on Ebay is over $175 and I couln't find it anywhere else but here. I know it's a little pricey but I am happy with the purchase as it was actually a great deal. The coloring in 'real life' is a little less vivid than in the picture but still- not enough to change my rating from 5 stars. Another great figurine from J Galbreth! Trust me- If you want it- get it because it will be very hard to find once these are gone!

Gorgeous figurine!

I was searching eBay and I found this gorgeous figurine; needless to say I had to have it. I was fortunate enough to buy it MUCH cheaper than it is listed on Amazon, so I definitely suggest if you're interested in the Dark Queen figurine to shop around. This is limited edition which makes it all the more special. The paint job is phenomenal and the wings are really neat looking. I'm pretty sure the reason they used clear plastic for the wings is to make it look almost like gossamer from afar. It really adds an ethereal touch to the line of figurines. This is yet another GORGEOUS addition to my collection that I'm very much proud of.

Fantastic

I use this little guy to filter water to top off a custom saltwater aquarium. I have hundreds of dollars in test kits to make sure nothing other than pure water touches my corals, and this Mighty Mite has never failed to produce crystal clear pure water. Great product and well worth it for the price.

Membrane only lasted 1 month/250 gallons

I bought this unit for a saltwater aquarium. It was incredibly easy to install (it attaches to a sink faucet) and all you have to do to make it work is to turn the water on! I used Salifert test kits to evaluate the output, and it was top notch. The dKH of my source water was near 20. The output of this unit was 0!!! Phosphates and silicates also tested zero.Initially, my product output was a little low, which I attributed to low flow from the faucet I used. But it gradually got worse and worse over the course of the first few weeks I used the unit. For instance, it took a week to fill my 150 gallon sump 3/4 of the way to the top. The I decided to test the unit, and I left it running full blast while hooked up to a high flow hose spigot (bought simple adapter from Menards). It produced 5 gallons in 24 hours.Because the unit is modular I was able to test the water flow through each individual component. I determined that the RO unit itself was responsible for the low flow. I bought a replacement RO unit and I now use the DI unit from this machine with the unit to produce my aquarium water. I liked this unit a lot, but it only worked for a couple of weeks before the RO membrane apparently gave out.

Great for Small Systems

This RODI was easy to set up and performs like a champ. My total system volume is around 40 gallons so this should suit me perfectly. All the inlets and outlets are tagged and marked to avoid confusion. Plenty of line was included with the package, as well as some fittings for common household taps. Shipping was fast. I also contacted AWI with a question and their response was prompt and courteous. This system is perfect for the price and size.
