4Great strap, but consider the weight of your banjo
By JVincent
I have a number of instruments and I just love the Levy's products. When it was time for a banjo strap, I quickly chose this model, and while it is of the high quality and great design that I epxect from Levy's products, I hadn't thought carefully enough about the width. If your banjo has a solid brass tone ring and the weight that comes with it (I believe my GF-85 is about 14 pounds), then this strap may not be supportive enough when standing with the banjo for extended periods of time. I use it mainly to keep the banjo in place while seated, but I can tell that if and when I need to perform with the Banjo, if I'll be standing up, then I'll be ordering a wider strap.

5Excellent quality strap
By P. Sims
As the previous reviewer pointed out, this is an excellent quality strap. My banjo is not nearly as heavy so the width does not bother me (I mainly have it just to keep from having to hold it up, because I do play seated most of the time), but it is relatively narrow as straps go. If you prefer a wider strap, you may not be as happy with it; but it suits me fine.

3Wider than advertised
By Amazon Shopper
Levy markets this as a 2.5 inch wide strap. It is actually 3.25 inches wide. My wife's first comment when she saw it on me was "it's awfully wide," and I have to agree. I don't think it looks as good as it would at a true 2.5". Since my "2 inch" straps are really 1-7/8 inches, I was surprised that this one was wider than advertised. I'm going to keep it, it's comfortable and quality is okay, but I am not going to order another for my other guitar as originally planned. I guess guitar straps are one item you should look at in a store instead of, or before ordering on-line.

4Great for the money
By Bearman
I'm not sure what the previous reviewer was expecting. I checked Levys website and knew exactly what I was getting. My JT 220 ct 6 sting, which isn't all that heavy at least not compared to some basses, is very comfortable slung around my shoulder. Very comfortable in fact. The leather is very good looking imho and for $60 I'm not sure you can get a better look/comfort combo. If you are looking a super high quality leather you aren't going to find it here. Is it a nice looking strap made out good garment leather and is again supremely comfortable and isn't that what we all want? Comfort? If you are looking for your strap to be more flash than comfort then get ready to shell out hundreds of bucks.

3Not so sure its leather
By D. Von
The padded backing and width of this strap make it the most comfortable I have ever owned, and I have owned several brands, styles, materials in my 15 years of playing. The holes in the strap that fit over the strap bolts are extremely tight, which is great. I found it easiest to unscrew the bolts on my bass and slip them through the strap holes before reattaching to the the bass. Now for Quality.Overall I was a bit disappointed when I unwrapped my $60 strap expecting to find a nice soft, top grain leather with that nice leather smell. Instead, the leather looks more like a slightly shiny vinyl. The leather (if it really is) doesn't look as expensive in person as in the picture. It's hard to find a great comfortable strap so I will keep this one, but I wont know if it's worth $60 until I've had it for a while. If I had to do it again, I'd keep my money and buy something half the price, for-go "looks" and stick strictly with comfort.

5Great all-around tent!
By H. Hughes
I have used this tent on three trips this year since receiving it for Christmas. All the trips have been in cold weather, even 36 degrees at night in May. The tent has kept me warm and dry. Easy to assemble and the two vestibules are great for storing gear. The fly extends out about 2-3 feet from the tent depending on your set-up. This makes it hard to reach the zipper to exit the tent. I would recommend getting some shock cord to tie to the zipper on the vestibule, it makes it easier to open the tent.

5Wonderful Tent
By Apple Green
This is a great tent at a great price. I could have gotten a much more expensive tent but read some reviews and decided to give it a go. It handled rain better than I expected and is well designed. It was perfect for car camping by myself with gear. I'm very happy with this purchase.

5Great Tent, Performs well
By Davisa777
This is a great tent, it performs well under most conditions and did not leak during a major Texas sized down pour during its first campout. It is quick to setup and light weight. This is not a big tent but what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality and performance! This tent has great rain fly that features a small vestibule.

3No directions
By Rifflepig
Seems like a well made banjo strap but I'm a new picker and there are no directions on how to best attach to the banjo. Seems like a big oversight, Levy's shouldn't assume everyone has done this before and pay attention to customer service.

1Color is a sloppy sprayed-on mess
By Meredith
The Natural color is anything but natural and does not look like the picture. There is a reddish spray over that natural color that was unevenly done and shows a terrible white line when you move the shoulder pad. The strap is pretty stiff and sounds like plastic when you move it. Also, the hanger says "made in china" though the tag on the strap says "made in canada"...so which is is?

5High Quality, High Zoom Range, Highly Affordable
By Tim Naff
I've been shooting this lens alongside the full-frame Zeiss 24 -70mm f/2.8 and Sony G 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6, both of which are world-class. What I've found has surprised me: this lens has no apologies to make in that company. I bought the other two lenses only because I expect to transition to full frame in about 3 years. (I'm currently using an A550 body.) I haven't done any scientific measurements, but when I blow-up shots from this lens on a large monitor, I'm not finding any resolution issues at all. I've done shots of the same subjects with all three lenses, and simply haven't seen any loss of resolution or any color signature with this lens. Again, this is real-world shooting and subjective evaluation, not laboratory testing.Someone commented on the lens being heavy. That's a relative thing. It is much, much lighter than the Zeiss 70-24. That's partly because the Zeiss has a wider aperture and works full frame. The 16-105 is, however, heavier than typical Minolta film camera lenses. The feel of the build quality is impressive. It is very, very close to the subjective feel of the Zeiss 24-70, which is possibly the best made lens on the market. If you twist and wiggle the two lenses, you can detect a very slightly tighter tolerance in the Zeiss, but you have to try -- it's not readily apparent. This is my walk-around lens of choice. I also considered the Sony SAL18250 Alpha DT 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 and the Zeiss Sony SAL-1680Z DT 16-80mm f/3.5-4.5. Based on what I've read and what I've experienced first hand, I'd say the optical quality of the lenses would place the 18-250 at the low end, this 16-105 in the middle, and the Zeiss 16-80 at the high end, with this 16-105 being closer to the Zeiss than to the 18-250. Honestly, I don't think you'd go wrong with any of the three. But if you want close to the best quality, and the 6.5X zoom range suits your needs, this lens is a no-brainer. Personally, I wouldn't trade it for either of the other two, even though it's the least expensive.Additional comment: Several months after writing my original review above, I spent 3 weeks with my camera covering 10 stops in Europe. I took this lens and the Zeiss. I left my other lenses behind because I couldn't spare the weight budget. I'm now, more than ever, a huge fan of the lens reviewed here. I took over 2000 pictures, and my best shot -- afforded by its zoom range, was taken with this lens. This lens, matched with the A550 (or A500) body makes an absolutely formidable combination.***Update*** I note that this lens is no longer cheaper than the 18-250. I now have both, but in most cases, this is still my walk-around lens of choice on what is now my A580.***Update 2*** I now have the Zeiss 16-80. It is slightly sharper and the colors are slightly more saturated, but you have to look very closely to see the difference. If I were traveling with my A580 and could only take one lens, the 16-105 would still be my choice, just for its zoom range. For those that want more speed, the 16-50 F2.8 is getting good reviews. I have one coming in a couple of weeks.***Update 3*** I now must revise what I said earlier about mating this lens with the A77. Of course it will work fine, but I now have an A77 with the 16-50 f/2.8 lens. The 16-50 lens is a better fit with the A77 because of the f/2.8 aperture. The A77 sensor is noisier than other Sony offerings due to it's high pixel density. All of the so-called SLTs lose one-half stop outright to the semi-transparent, fixed mirror. The 16-50 is a hair sharper but has significantly more geometric distortion. The A77 corrects the geometric distortion for jpegs (but not for RAW). The bottom line is that the 16-50 has become my walk-around lens for the A77. In good light, this lens has the obvious advantage of a factor of two more zoom range. It would still be my choice for anything other than the A77 or A900 and a great choice in good light for the A77.Good shooting,Tim

5If you only can buy one Sony Alpha lens buy this one!
By N Doxey
I can't explain why I overlooked this lens and bought other Sigma, Tamron, and Sony lenses for my Sony Alpha camera bodies first. What a mistake! I never was satisfied with the performance of the less expensive (under $600) walk about lenses once I took pictures with the very fine Sony 24-70mm Carl Zeiss G lens. But often I found myself unwilling to take a $1500 lens outdoors or to places I was concerned about theft.Recently I purchased and tried the Sony 16-105mm lens. I found that it produces results very similar to a G glass lens. In fact I am very impressed. I recently took portraits of 100 students during a choir tour. All the shots were taken from the aisle while the bus was moving with only a single external flash bounced from the ceiling and a small reflector positioned in the lap of each student. When I reviewed the images on the computer I was amazed at the performance of this lens. Sharp (I look for the sharpness of the eye lashes at 100%)and beautiful colors with little need for any post processing. I love the image stabilization of the Sony alpha body. Image that sharp pictures in a moving bus with a shutter speed of 1/60 to 1/100. I liked my a700 and a55 camera bodies before but now I like them even better. A fine lens makes all the difference and I consider the Sony 16-105mm a fine lens considering it's price of $599. My only wish is that it had a lens lock.My recommendation when buying an Alpha camera body (not full frame) would be to buy the Sony 16-105mm first, then a Minolta 50mm f1.4, a Sigma 70mm macro f 2.8 and then the very fine Sony CZ 24-70mm and 70-400mm when you can afford them. You will use these lenses the rest of your life.

5Great Glass!
By Lynn May
If you can get a deal on this lens it will be a steal! This easily compares with the Sony Carl Zeiss 16-80mm lens with out letting go of several hundred more to get it.[...]I'm planning on using this for a trip and it will make a great lens for that.

4Not Bad
By Big Woo
First, let me say that I purchased this item when it was priced at under $17. I would never pay over $30, much less $50 for any guitar strap. That being said, it's not a bad purchase. At $17 I give it JUST UNDER FOUR STARS, at $50, BARELY, and no more than THREE STARS.Length: If you're a tall player like myself, the longest setting will work as long as you're not one of those musicians that like to play with their instrument slung low. At the $50 price, they could have made the strap longer with several button holes to allow more options.Aesthetics: It's not particularly eye-catching but looks pretty rugged. Also, I'm not a fan of the square cut at the adjustment end of the strap. It seems to me like Levy really walked away from an unfinished job on this expensive strap.Adjustment strap: The adjustment strap is very light and flimsy in contrast to the rest of the strap. However, this makes for easier removal and re-attachment to the button; I leave the other end attached to the guitar and it still works nicely in my very tight-fitting case.Conclusion/Recommendation: I have a different Levy Leathers strap that I absolutely love. Having purchased this strap, I would not recommend it unless you REALLY LOVED the style. Even at $17, I, personally, will not be purchasing another of this particular strap in any color.

5The very best one
By Olivier Douin
I owned several grips from different brands (mainly Canon and Minolta). It was either to be able to shot more pictures, either to shot... vertically. This one seems to be unbeatable.First, all the functions you need are really under your (at least mines) fingers.Second, it is the first time, while shooting vertically with my camera (here a Sony Alpha 700) that I feel so comfortable that I could forget that I am not shooting horizontally.

5Sony a700 Grip Review
By Bill
This grip has proven to be excellent in construction and with the extra battery, your shoot time is doubled. It does make it monstrous in size and when i brought it to a family gathering, everyone was blown away by its size. So in a world where size matters, this gives you a major boost. Seriously though, all the buttons and comfort are top notch and it gives you more grip on your expensive camera, especially if you have high dollar optics. The only thing that I don't care for is that with my old 80-200mm 2.8 G, without the adapter I was able to rest the whole camera and lens on the tripod mount, now with the grip, it has to tilt which can put undesired stress on the rotating front lens element, so have to rest it on books or in the bag. It is a bit pricey, but if you compare to other brand's grips, it basically gives you a second set of all the controls...a more realistic no-brainer price would be around $250...

4Add a Battery and a Grip and some Drain
By Dustin M. Werstler
This is a cool piece to have. If you take a lot of photos, especially lots of portraits, this can seriously make things easier on you. Of course, it takes some getting used to using the new shutter button for the portrait shots. This grip allows you to hold two batteries in place of one, plus it gives you a bunch of the controls you'd use with your thumb were you shooting in landscape orientation. That's a great bonus and touch. The only gripe comes from whether or not this unit drains the batteries even when the camera is off. It has its own power switch, which makes me wonder if that's the case. I haven't tested it thoroughly for that, however it seems to be the way things are turning out. Fortunately it isn't a major amount of drain (1%-3% from the meter) in the course of a day or so, but it really shouldn't be that way in the first place. A simple solution, mind you, is to turn off the power of the grip --- which won't affect the main body from being able to use the batteries.Drain aside, this is an awesome addition to the A700 camera, and will prove invaluable to anyone that shoots a wide variety of image types and styles.

5Not it's intended use but it does what I want flawlessly.
By Redd
An experienced photographer friend of mine (who's in school for photojournalism and a big part in me taking up photography) and I were talking about the gear we used a while back. He mentioned that in his 6 month trip through the American Southwest he used a guitar strap instead of a regular camera strap in an over-the-shoulder type sling. He showed me his setup and let me try it out for a bit and it felt comfortable. Picked this beauty up for $12 (freak sale?) and being 2" of leather I have absolutely no concern for it's ability to safely and strongly secure my camera in any conditions. The fact that it's suede means that it's very soft and comfortable, even against bare skin. (My camera's already survived a tornado, Monson, MA 6/1/11, might as well get a strap that can keep up)

5awsome strap!!
By the blessed one
i don't know much about leather but it feels good and smooth. i tried to pull out to each side and very strong. all the sawing seams are nicely done. i just used it tonight at church during worship and it held my guitar well for 2 hours. 2-inch width is perfect fit on my shoulder and back. my guitar has about 1/2 inch big endpin jack and the hole on strap was too tight, so i have to enlarge the hole by cutting with scissor now it fits perfect. i wanted other color but navy was the cheapest one at that time and it dosen't look so bad on my acoustic. i love the cross embroidered. i like everything about this strap and highly recommand to others who need quality strap!!

4Worth the price!
By Maddbomber1
First off, I have to mention the uncanny similarities between Blackhawk! Barrage and the Camelbak Motherlode 1000 (original Motherlode, not newer one) That being said, I was blown away by the quality of this pack. Great versatility, and size. One thing not stated in any review I've seen is that the waiste belt is removable.Pro's:1. Capacity- perfect just a sweatshirt for a day-hike, or stuffed full to create a true 3 day pack. Great overall layout, including the internal pouches and pockets.2. Versatility- extensive MOLLE/PALS webbing is robust, and milspec compatible allowing for a plethora of pouch attachments (including bottom).3. Comfort- great padding on back, shoulder straps, and waiste strap (removable). Secondary pocket is located high on pack to keep weight on shoulders, and not low on back.4. Quality/Durability- Stout YKK zippers, water/stain resistant 1000 denier nylon, re-enforced shoulder straps and carry handle, taped seams, metal drainage grommet. All cinch straps have hook-and-loop retainers for stowing excess(not chinsey elastic retainers that will wear out).Con's:1. Weight- A bit heavy (1000 denier nylon throughout)2. Adjustability- The shoulder straps don't cinch very tight (I'm really skinny). MOLLE/PALS webbing is limited on sides; only 3 rows where there is room for much more.3. Price- it is expensive for a back pack, but Blackhawk's lifetime warranty offsets that..... plus the inclusion of 100oz hydration bladder.Overall I am very happy with this pack, and am confident it will outlast me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

5Great Strap!
By R. Matute
I love it. It's comfortable, stylish and well made. It should provide years of service on my 2008 Les Paul Standard.

5Very Nice
By Phil Garringer
Lovely, just lovely. Well made, attractive, and NOT a Chinese product. Nice soft leather, and the embroidery seems quite durable.
