Dean and Dave Mustaine Dean Guitars is proud to intruduce the Dave Mustaine Signature VMNT series. Well-known in the metal world, Mustaine has been the driving force behind Megadeth for 25 years. The VMNT series offers Dave's special D shaped neck profile with a full two-octave, 24-fret neck, set up at the factory for fast, low action and easy access to upper frets. The guitars feature string-through-body design for serious sustain and playability, along with a variety of solid hardware appointments.
Mahogany Body Dean uses a mahogany body for this instrument. Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain.
Bolt-On Construction Bolt-on neck construction provides an affordable alternative to set-neck or thru-body designs. The advantage of this design is that if you do have any neck trouble down the line, you can easily replace it.
The VMNTX's maple neck features an ultra-playable 24-fret ebony fingerboard, with classic dot inlays.
Dean Humbucker Pickups To capture the biting tones of vintage Deans, the company includes two of its standard humbuckers, which provide more than enough bite for modern styles, along with plenty of low-end and midrange definition. The standard three-way selector allows bridge, neck, or a combination. Each pickup gets a volume pot, and they share the tone control.
Grover Tuners If you play guitar then you know what this means--solid, dependable tuning from the industry standard.
Small and lightweight, the Mini Grover tuners fit guitar headstocks that won't take full-size machines. The mini buttons provide more space for players' fingers (even larger fingers) to tune strings. Gear ratio is 14:1. Sealed-in lubrication keeps Mini-Rotomatics perfect for a lifetime!
Tone Pros Bridge
The Tone Pros bridge with string-thru-body design uses high-quality components to deliver serious sustain and intonation, for great sound and extremely reliable tuning.

THE BEST AXE I OWN
By David F. Schnelker
It's been a year now and I still love it. The pick-ups are very nice and deliver a lot of chunk (far from sounding muddy). The two volume knobs have allowed me to achive sounds I could never get with my single vol knob guitars. The Grover tuners are the best I've ever had(very smooth). The fret board is beautifully polished, easy to navigate, and very fast. The string-through body realy does increase sustain, and it's very easy to re-string. The paint is also very nice, and easy to keep clean. It's a rather large guitar, it took over an hour at Guitar Center to find a case to accomidate both its length & width. But I would'nt let the size turn u off, it has great balance and it's comfortable to play / even while sitting (it's an absolute blast to play). I get compliments on how great it looks & sounds all the time. Finally, I had to drill another hole in my guitar-stand a few inches higher to raise the base-cradle because the points on the "V" were so long they would hit the ground (it was easy to do). I truely hope this review is helpfull.

Looks really great, sounds just ok
By Paula Gallagher
I love the look of, what people call "excalibur". The comfort both when played regular (with a strap) and in between the legs, gives great access to all the frets. The downsides I found, were that the sounds produced by this guitar VS my other Deans is kinda trebly and twangy, and the fretboard and strings are a bit sharp. I had to return mine because on the 5th day the middle channel cut out, and when you touch the switch you can hear a crackling feedback. Probably a minor wiring problem, but I'll take it as a chance to return this, because for $300 I think I can find a jackson or something similar at a bit higher quality. I love Deans though, F-Deciever is my favorite guitar.
