EXCELLENT!

I purchased this strap for my bass player husband. It's a very nice, heavy duty strap that will surely stand the test of time through many band practices and shows. Especially for a bass player, this strap is so much more comfortable than the basic strap. He doesn't have to put his bass down every so often to give his shoulder a rest with this strap.

Fits like a glove

I recently acquired a '02 P-bass and decided to treat myself to some new accessories, including a strap. I sauntered over to Guitar Center on 14th Street. While it had a wide selection, nothing really caught my eye other than the rather pricey numbers. I came home and hit up Amazon to see what it had. This strap seemed perfect - wide but not too wide. I read the reviews and was concerned about the stiffness of the leather where the strap attached to the bass but after it arrived I experienced zero issues with that. I played a 3 hour gig a week later and was happy with the feel and how my shoulder and back felt after it was over. Looks good and a great price.

Very happy!

I had read reviews, good and bad, prior to ordering this particular strap for a second guitar,so wasn't 100% sure I'd be happy with choice, but as it was for a 'spare' guitar, decided to order it anyway. I am very happy with it. It is comfortable, soft pliable leather, and because I suffer from advanced spondylitis of the neck, the extra width of the strap and the padding, spreads the weight evenly over the neck and shoulder area. Not as 'pretty' as some of Levy's other straps, but extremely good value.

Works well, comes with EVERYTHING

This unit surprisingly came with EVERYTHING. It had the rubber gasket, the bulb holder, and even the bulbs pre-populated in the holder. Looks exactly like OEM, and the white-to-red meet up lines weren't all jagged or "smudged" looking like cheaper replacements.

Wider than advertised

Levy markets this as a 2.5 inch wide strap. It is actually 3.25 inches wide. My wife's first comment when she saw it on me was "it's awfully wide," and I have to agree. I don't think it looks as good as it would at a true 2.5". Since my "2 inch" straps are really 1-7/8 inches, I was surprised that this one was wider than advertised. I'm going to keep it, it's comfortable and quality is okay, but I am not going to order another for my other guitar as originally planned. I guess guitar straps are one item you should look at in a store instead of, or before ordering on-line.

Great for the money

I'm not sure what the previous reviewer was expecting. I checked Levys website and knew exactly what I was getting. My JT 220 ct 6 sting, which isn't all that heavy at least not compared to some basses, is very comfortable slung around my shoulder. Very comfortable in fact. The leather is very good looking imho and for $60 I'm not sure you can get a better look/comfort combo. If you are looking a super high quality leather you aren't going to find it here. Is it a nice looking strap made out good garment leather and is again supremely comfortable and isn't that what we all want? Comfort? If you are looking for your strap to be more flash than comfort then get ready to shell out hundreds of bucks.

Not so sure its leather

The padded backing and width of this strap make it the most comfortable I have ever owned, and I have owned several brands, styles, materials in my 15 years of playing.The holes in the strap that fit over the strap bolts are extremely tight, which is great. I found it easiest to unscrew the bolts on my bass and slip them through the strap holes before reattaching to the the bass. Now for Quality.Overall I was a bit disappointed when I unwrapped my $60 strap expecting to find a nice soft, top grain leather with that nice leather smell. Instead, the leather looks more like a slightly shiny vinyl. The leather (if it really is) doesn't look as expensive in person as in the picture. It's hard to find a great comfortable strap so I will keep this one, but I wont know if it's worth $60 until I've had it for a while. If I had to do it again, I'd keep my money and buy something half the price, for-go "looks" and stick strictly with comfort.

Beautiful! But shipping time is ugly.

I ordered both passenger and drivers side headlights at the same time. But only the passenger side headlight has arrived. It says the other headlight won't ship for nearly 3 more weeks! Very disappointed in the shipping time, considering that the page said they were both in stock...until I placed my order. The light I did receive looks great. Just wish I had the other one so I could get them installed. I wonder if the other one will ever ship...?

Very Nice for Dobro

It may say acoustic, but this is a dobro strap first and foremost. Great quality and finish to the leather. The pad is comfortable, and it has a little loop attached to the right side for keeping your pick-up cord out of the way, if you choose to electrify - nice touch. My Levy bass guitar strap is 15 years old and it still looks great, stitching tight, no cracking on the leather. You pay more for a Levy, but, in the long run, I think it's a bargain.

Nice Strap

This strap is soft and supple, very comfortable and sturdy. For me, however, it's a tad too long, I'm a small woman, and need a short strap. My jumbo guitar, however, is heavy maple, and a shoestring button on a regular strap would never hold it! The 4 rating is only because of the lenght. I got it to work now, but as it ages and stretches out, it will be too long, and I'll have to look elsewhere for a strap for my jumbo.

Very nicely made. This is my first attempt at playing a resonator lap style or face up so takes some getting used to. My fender reso is brass and heavy, this strap is up to the challenge.

No directions

Seems like a well made banjo strap but I'm a new picker and there are no directions on how to best attach to the banjo. Seems like a big oversight, Levy's shouldn't assume everyone has done this before and pay attention to customer service.

Color is a sloppy sprayed-on mess

The Natural color is anything but natural and does not look like the picture. There is a reddish spray over that natural color that was unevenly done and shows a terrible white line when you move the shoulder pad. The strap is pretty stiff and sounds like plastic when you move it. Also, the hanger says "made in china" though the tag on the strap says "made in canada"...so which is is?

please note: pencil beam

This is an excellent emergency flashlight, but appears to be best suited for rescue, firefighters, and the like, because the beam is focused very narrowly. If you want something around the house to use in power outages, looking under the porch and so forth, you might be better served by a different unit. Non LED, if that matters to you.Absolutely bomb proof quality piece, just not for everyone.

Good BRIGHT lights.

I bought these to replace the OEM lights on my Arctic Cat ATV, I knew I'd be doing bracket fab work to make them fit, but, what I didn't know, These lights do not come with any wiring, or bulbs so you will need to get some (90 DEGREE)Dorman 84790 Headlight Socket H4 sockets, and bulbs. I didn't use the "city/position" lamp so I do not know what you'll need if you want to use them. Good German Quality like all Hella products, and the E code beam with cutoff, and slanted upper right flare, are just what I expected. Not DOT approved for on road use, but, I'd put them on a Trail Truck or UTV as aux. headlights, Low beam for foggy/rainy nights and Hi beam is very center concentrated. If you have used the Hella E code headlights before, these have the same pattern. Plastic Housing, Glass lens and Steel reflector. Change the 2 screws that hold the front trim ring/lens in place, I bought Stainless Steel ones that were better than what came with them, they usually rust in the plastic and snap off when you are changing a bulb!

Perfect strap for bass

This strap is exactly what I've been looking for. It has the perfect amount of slip / grip action across my back....not too little grip and not too much. I suppose it depends a good bit on what material your shirt is made of. Whatever....it's perfect. The width is also right on the money. Levy sells a 4 1/2" wide strap, but I think that may be just a bit much considering the reviews on it. At 3 1/2" wide, it distributes the weight of your instrument (I think it would be great for guitar too) perfectly causing you less fatigue after long hours of playing. I also love all of the color combinations and variety....good thinking, Levy.My dunlop strap locks were a little challenging to put on, but they ain't coming off now! Make sure you get your strap adjusted correctly before putting that bottom strap pin in...you'll have to take the strap lock apart to adjust the length. I just used a small screw driver to push the leather down around the strap pin, then put the washer on and used pliers to squeeze the circular clip on. Hope that helps someone!

Exquisitely crafted

I was delighted by the overall quality of this guitar strap. It's a great example of "you get what you pay for". To start off, this strap has an excellent feel to the touch. Very fine grained, soft leather with only a light leathery scent and a very tough and solid feel. Despite feeling extremely durable, it still feels a little supple which is nice. I love the belt leather texture on the top. It adds to the durability and also makes it look very stylish. The padding is also a nice plus. It'll take 5 or 10 minutes to get it on your instrument the first time, but eventually you'll wear the holes down enough that taking it on and off will be much easier. My big, heavy Spector five string bass feels extremely secure unlike my last couple straps. Due to the excessive weight of my Spector, it doesn't feel "weightless", but it sure takes a TON of pressure off my shoulder. I can stand for a solid hour playing before I start to ache a little bit. One of the best parts of this strap is how nice and boutique the packaging is, along with a nice customer letter. Just to top it off, it's also not made in China, but it's made in Canada. If you play a rather light guitar, I'd recommend getting a Levy's strap that isn't as wide to save you money and to look a little slicker. For bass, there is no other option. I know it seems pricey, but when you feel it and use it in the flesh you'll realize this strap is a bargain.

Can't Go Wrong with Levy's Leathers!

I own 4 other Levy's straps. I knew what I was getting into when I pressed the Add To Cart Button. Always top quality leather, very, very good padding on the MSS90 models. Excellent coloration, thick leather in needed areas, very secure stitching - Simply a Great Product. I plan on ordering another one just as soon as I'm done writing this! #3 for this MSS90 style. If there is one complaint - The thick leather makes it a little tough to use Schaller styled Strap Locks. You have to ditch the thick washer, until the leather gets old and settled. Straps remain secure even without the washer.
