Perfect strap for bass

This strap is exactly what I've been looking for. It has the perfect amount of slip / grip action across my back....not too little grip and not too much. I suppose it depends a good bit on what material your shirt is made of. Whatever....it's perfect. The width is also right on the money. Levy sells a 4 1/2" wide strap, but I think that may be just a bit much considering the reviews on it. At 3 1/2" wide, it distributes the weight of your instrument (I think it would be great for guitar too) perfectly causing you less fatigue after long hours of playing. I also love all of the color combinations and variety....good thinking, Levy.My dunlop strap locks were a little challenging to put on, but they ain't coming off now! Make sure you get your strap adjusted correctly before putting that bottom strap pin in...you'll have to take the strap lock apart to adjust the length. I just used a small screw driver to push the leather down around the strap pin, then put the washer on and used pliers to squeeze the circular clip on. Hope that helps someone!

Exquisitely crafted

I was delighted by the overall quality of this guitar strap. It's a great example of "you get what you pay for". To start off, this strap has an excellent feel to the touch. Very fine grained, soft leather with only a light leathery scent and a very tough and solid feel. Despite feeling extremely durable, it still feels a little supple which is nice. I love the belt leather texture on the top. It adds to the durability and also makes it look very stylish. The padding is also a nice plus. It'll take 5 or 10 minutes to get it on your instrument the first time, but eventually you'll wear the holes down enough that taking it on and off will be much easier. My big, heavy Spector five string bass feels extremely secure unlike my last couple straps. Due to the excessive weight of my Spector, it doesn't feel "weightless", but it sure takes a TON of pressure off my shoulder. I can stand for a solid hour playing before I start to ache a little bit. One of the best parts of this strap is how nice and boutique the packaging is, along with a nice customer letter. Just to top it off, it's also not made in China, but it's made in Canada. If you play a rather light guitar, I'd recommend getting a Levy's strap that isn't as wide to save you money and to look a little slicker. For bass, there is no other option. I know it seems pricey, but when you feel it and use it in the flesh you'll realize this strap is a bargain.

Can't Go Wrong with Levy's Leathers!

I own 4 other Levy's straps. I knew what I was getting into when I pressed the Add To Cart Button. Always top quality leather, very, very good padding on the MSS90 models. Excellent coloration, thick leather in needed areas, very secure stitching - Simply a Great Product. I plan on ordering another one just as soon as I'm done writing this! #3 for this MSS90 style. If there is one complaint - The thick leather makes it a little tough to use Schaller styled Strap Locks. You have to ditch the thick washer, until the leather gets old and settled. Straps remain secure even without the washer.

I bought these to replace a set of the stamped steel edelbrock covers. Huge difference. The main difference is the material thickness - especially the flange area. Which is what counts because that is where warping and leaking occur.My only complaint is that the edelbrock premium gaskets i bought had to be trimmed at the corners and a few bolt holes to fit these. C'mon edelbrock, really?Anyways. These things look great and so far no leaks or warping.Amc engines dont use breathers in the valve covers, yet some people insist on putting them in. If you're one of those - these may not be for you. Between the thick aluminum and ribs on top, it may not work well.Anyways, definitely recommend.

An experienced photographer friend of mine (who's in school for photojournalism and a big part in me taking up photography) and I were talking about the gear we used a while back. He mentioned that in his 6 month trip through the American Southwest he used a guitar strap instead of a regular camera strap in an over-the-shoulder type sling. He showed me his setup and let me try it out for a bit and it felt comfortable. Picked this beauty up for $12 (freak sale?) and being 2" of leather I have absolutely no concern for it's ability to safely and strongly secure my camera in any conditions. The fact that it's suede means that it's very soft and comfortable, even against bare skin. (My camera's already survived a tornado, Monson, MA 6/1/11, might as well get a strap that can keep up)

awsome strap!!

i don't know much about leather but it feels good and smooth. i tried to pull out to each side and very strong. all the sawing seams are nicely done. i just used it tonight at church during worship and it held my guitar well for 2 hours. 2-inch width is perfect fit on my shoulder and back. my guitar has about 1/2 inch big endpin jack and the hole on strap was too tight, so i have to enlarge the hole by cutting with scissor now it fits perfect. i wanted other color but navy was the cheapest one at that time and it dosen't look so bad on my acoustic. i love the cross embroidered. i like everything about this strap and highly recommand to others who need quality strap!!

Christmas Panic

I had hemmed and hawed over what sort of ring to get my sweetie this Christmas. After much thought I got her a beautiful star sapphire in white gold with a small diamond on either side of the setting. No sooner did I send my order off when my sweetie told me she had said the wrong ring size when we had spoken a few days earlier. Audition 2.0 on crack

This is basically Audition 2.0 with midi capabilities and VSTi support. The GUI (Graphic User Interface) looks exactly like 2.0, which isn't bad, but I was expecting something more "pretty" like Cubase 4. But, hey, pretty just means the program will be a bigger memory hog, so it's all good.I've been using this software since CoolEdit1.0! I've always loved the simplicity of it, and ever since Adobe picked it up, it has gotten better and better. You can't find a better DAW for a home studio. It's quick, fast, and powerful! While it comes with enough effects and tools to do the job, you'll definitely want to pick up some add-ons, like Reason, GuitarRig, Ampeg SVX, Absynth, Ozone, etc.I primarily use this software to record my band. I have hooked it up to many different USB and Firewire mixers and the multi-tracking is always simple and easy to use.There are so many reasons why Audition 3.0 rocks (mixing and mastering is a breeze!) and I'd love to tell you about it, but I am running out of time. Download the trial and see for yourself!

Great for audio; MIDI not so great

For pure audio editing tasks, Audition is right on target. The available effects are excellent, as are the various other editing functions. Ease of use is exemplary. Although I commend Adobe for attempting to include a MIDI sequencer/editor as part of the package, this unfortunately is where the program falls far short of expectations. For those wanting to play their VST software instruments along with their audio tracks in real time, the setup process to do so is very confusing, convoluted, and extremely poorly-documented at best -- making it pretty impossible to figure out. MIDI editing is extremely limited. Third party VST effects plugins are virtually useless. For MIDI recording/sequencing/editing, stick to programs such as Cubase and Sonar. So, for the audio editing side of things, definitely five stars. For MIDI integration, two stars. Customer service -- just to simply transfer an authorization to an another computer -- was ATROCIOUS. Both of my experiences with this were nightmares, dealing with "customer service" reps who spoke broken English unintelligibly and as fast as possible -- then were quite rude to me and very sarcastic when I asked them (very politely, I might add) to speak more slowly. That's MINUS one star -- my average:3.

The Healing Brush alone makes it worth the purchase price

I bought this software to help me with my job recording and editing sermons for my church's radio business. Until a few days ago, I had been using Cool Edit 2.0 (and before that, Cool Edit 1.0!) for years. The quick-loading software and no-nonsense interface kept me using it long after more advanced programs had been released. With our recent upgrade in recording hardware, I decided to upgrade my recording software as well. Adobe Audition 3 was the obvious choice, as it is the successor to Cool Edit.I am happy to say that it retains all of the things that made Cool Edit awesome, while adding a host of excellent new features. The best feature being the Healing Brush. The usefulness of this tool cannot be stressed enough! Being able to literally paint over pops clicks, and other errors, and have the program automatically perform the correction has saved me many hours of frustration. Not only that, but you can also paint over (highlight) specific frequencies apply effects to only those frequencies. This makes removing things like coughing or other background noises a cinch.These two features alone are worth the cost of upgrading. Even if they were the only new features in the entire program, I would still say: "BUY IT NOW!"

Gorgeous tooling on the leather! Buckles are big, so if one is not careful you might scratch your guitar. I am very careful with all of my guitars to protect their finish from harm, so it is not a big deal for me, because it looks so cool! I have seen many other hand made items for much more money, but for the money, I could not go wrong with the Levy's name and quality. Plus they have so many choices, with or with out buckles, different styles, etc. You can't go wrong with Levy's!

04 maxima centerforce dual friction clutch with jim wolf flywheel!!!

I have had these clutches for 15 years,these are the only clutches i buy,this clutch is dual friction and engages quick and the pedal is easy,catches low and is great on bad joints,it is almost like stepping on the gas pedal,very little pressure is needed,i have driven around the country and i never had any issues,i never had to replace any of the clutches,they lasted longer than i ever thought a clutch could,you will never need another clutch ever,the best money i spent by far!!!!!

I love this jacket!

This is a great jacket. The outside pockets have parallel zippered pockets that are a great feature. It took me a while to figure it out. I kept trying to get my keys out of one of the pockets while they were in the other! But once I saw what was going on, I really appreciated the feature. You can keep valuables (keys, whatever, etc.) zipped up and safe from falling out and still have the open two side pockets for other stuff. I don't know why they don't mention the feature in any of the descriptions.Anyway, the zippered outside pockets and inside zippered breast pocket were some of the reasons I wanted this jacket to begin with, so to have the extras was a real bonus.You can take it off and set it down while you're out and not worry that your stuff will fall out. That's important to me. It also has an inside lower panel velco closing small pocket for a cell phone. This is also super with the same result as the previous comment. It closes securely and is also "not to worry".The material is a nice durable microsuede. I had the same jacket before and it is still holding up in its fifth year. Only problem is one of the outside pockets that I put my keys in finally wore out and the keys would go through and get caught in the lining. It's sewn up for now so I thought this was a good opportunity to buy a new one. So now I have two, the older one I am using more to "bang around in" and keeping the new one for more formal "but casual" occasions. The original I have doesn't have the "double" outside pockets.Guess what? I like the zippers! I would recommend this to anyone wanting a durable, good looking, practical, useful jacket and if I say much more about it they'll raise the price so I'll stop here!

My first weatherproof microsuade classic 2505 came when my wife brought an almost new on home from a garage sale. I wore it for two years and swore I would buy another one if I ever found who sold this brand. I checked on Amazon and to my delight...there they were!I have two new ones after this purchase and guess what....they are fantastic quality for the price. Soft and light with super resistance to wind and rain. I would compare this brand to any $250.00 jacket!!W N Archer

Fabulous jacket!

I just ordered this jacket on March 19 and it arrived here in Ottawa, Ontario on March 26 which is excellent service from the U.S I think.. I opened the box and tried it on. Beautiful. This is exactly what I have been looking for - a nice dressy microfibre, water repellant windbreaker - stylish, practical. Fits well. I haven't even worn it outside yet but I can tell I am going to love it. Excellent value too at $59! I was looking in retail stores here and couldn't find anything as nice even in the $130 and up range. Good job Essential Apparel and good job Amazon on getting it to me so fast. I will buy from this company again.

Centerforce Clutch for Toyota Twin Turbo Supra

The shipper gave a great price and the unit was shipped promptly. I was initially disappointed to observe that the unit did not have the centrifugal weights that are the hallmark of Centerforce designs. I had chosen this clutch for medical reasons (The stock clutch was not worn out): I was unable to depress the stock clutch on my stock 1997 Special Edition Toyota Twin Turbo Supra without severe pain. My previous car was a Corvette modified by Doug Rippie such that it had 450 foot pounds torque over most of the rev range (383 stroker, AFR hydra-rev heads Callies 4340 crank, Vortech supercharger, forged J&R pistons plus many other extras) and that car had a Centerforce clutch (with weights) that had half the pedal pressure of the stock clutch yet held twice the torque and had the smoothest most luxurious engagement I have ever experienced in any car. I called Centerforce before installation, and they told me not to worry-the Supra did not have room for the weights in the bell housing, but it would still delight me. Hmm. I had Bob at Asian Auto in Tempe go ahead and do the installation. Bob is a SUPERB mechanic-he has a mechanical engineering degree from ASU and has always impressed me with his incredible depth of knowledge and conscientious attention to detail. When I got the car back, I just could not believe how badly the clutch chattered on engagement and juddered on down shifts. What a piece of crap, I thought. At least the pedal pressure was half of the stock clutch and I could drive without pain. You cannot imaging the feeling of salvation. Well, Centerforce makes a big deal about break in, so I thought I should just bear with it for 500 miles and see how things worked out. During break in, the clutch was OK when cold, but chattered like crazy when hot. Bob listened to it and said most of the noise was transmission gear clatter caused by the clutch chatter. The only way around it was revving the engine to 2,000 RPM during engagement, but I was worried that continuing that practice would lead to premature wear of the clutch. Well, after 500 or so miles, the chatter finally abated some. As time went on, the weather in Phoenix got cold and as I got close to 1,000 miles on the clutch, it seems to be pretty much free of chatter. Well, the weather is cold in Phoenix now, and the clutch seems fine even when the engine is fully warmed up. Hopefully, it will remain that way in six months when the weather gets hot again. I just LOVE driving this car, and as my medical condition remains unresolved, I could not drive it without the Centerforce clutch. BTW, the holding capability seems superb-no signs of slipping. So, in summary, if you need lower pedal pressure for whatever reason for an unmodified Toyota Twin Turbo Supra (the stock Toyota clutch had a god awful pedal pressure-the only good thing I could say about it was my wife would not drive it) this clutch is the only game in town that I know of. If you buy this clutch, be prepared for an extended break in. In the end, the results made the project worth it. Time will tell about the durability of the clutch. Hopefully, it will be the last clutch I put in this car, since it already has 110,000 miles on it, although it still does not burn any oil, due to careful maintenance, and I could end up putting a lot more miles on it. Tune in again in a few years to see about the durability.15 months later, the clutch is as smooth as can be. Call me a happy customer.

Great padded strap!!

Levy's has always had an excellent selection of high-quality guitar straps and this garment leather, padded strap is no exception. I have a heavy (9.5 lb) electric guitar and needed a wide, padded strap for long sessions. This one fit the bill perfectly. The price thru Amazon was well below retail...that made the purchase even easier.

A Great Strap, Especially For A Heavier Guitar

Dennis Levy and his staff make some of the best guitar straps around. Granted, there are far cheaper alternatives out there, but I chose this strap because it was 2 1/2" wide which helps distribute the considerable heft of my Les Paul much better than thinner straps. It is well padded, and the leather is beautifully finished and trimmed, which yields great looks. While I love this strap, there are a couple of things to bear in mind: because it is wide and padded it is less flexible than some other straps. This was not a problem for me, as the comfort of the strap is excellent and will likely suit everyone but the most kinetic performers. The strap is also fairly hard to push onto the strap pins (at least on my Les Paul) and requires a bit of work to get in place. The good news is that once on the guitar the strap is not going anywhere, making for a really secure feeling. The strap is adjustable from 38 to 53", and I find it to be most comfortable at its longest (I am 6'2" and like it relatively low.)I have never regretted buying this strap from Levy's Leathers, and without hesitation recommend it to anyone, especially someone playing a heavier instrument.

Great guitar strap

This is the most comfortable guitar strap that I have ever purchased. The leather is super soft and very easy on the shoulder. It just seems to absorb the entire weight of my guitar, which makes playing a heavy guitar a breeze. This is expensive but well worth the price! Highly recommended.

arrived in pretty good shape packaging was very good for an oversize item. nice quality product instructions are very vague and confusing. Look at the blow-up parts picture and it seems to be easier to install. once installed I could not be any happier with the product.

Very Happy! Did not receive the bolt kit but contacted Dee Zee and they sent a bolt kit at no charge. Amazon was willing to send new steps but I got the problem solved. Nice price also. I was on Frugal mechanic.com to compare prices. Amazon was the place to buy. Very satisfied!
