Product Description

The Nikon D300 D-SLR offers 12.3 MP DX format CMOS sensor combined with a fast 6 fps (up to 8 fps with the optional Multi Power Battery Pack). The camera s fast power-up, quick response and outstanding flexibility will meet the needs of a wide variety of photographic assignments. The D300 also features a self-cleaning sensor unit, which vibrates at high frequencies to remove any loose dust on the surface of the sensor s optical low pass filter. The camera has a broad ISO range from 200-3200 plus Lo 1 (the equivalent of ISO 100) and Hi (ISO 6400 equivalent). Image accuracy is also enhanced by the Nikon Scene Recognition System, which uses the Nikon 1005-pixel RGB color sensor modified to recognize subjects shape and position before the image is captured. This also aids the new 51-Point Autofocus system in tracking subjects, while enhancing the accuracy of exposure and white balance metering.

Nikon D300

The move to the Nikon D300 was made to take advantages of the newer features that were not present (especially the greater pixel capacity) in the D100 which I had for several years. It was time to move up.The screen is larger with the ability to display additional information regarding exposure etc. The controls are neatly arranged and handle better than the D100 and it is more comfortable your hands. Auto focus and exposure metering are much more advanced over the D100.While I am still very much in the "learn mode" with this camera I am satisfied the move was worth it. Having not moved to the D200 when it came out I cannot comment on the value of moving from that model to the D300.I had shopped around on the web only to find multiple cases of much lower prices but they did not include the typical box items of the charger, battery etc. In this regard be careful of the lo-ball prices.

Amazing Camera !

This is the best cost/benefit camera in the market today.I bought this kit with 18-135 lens but if I was to buy now, I'd rather go for the more expensive kit with 18-200 as its a better quality lens and more versatile zoom length.If you can afford it, BUY IT, you will not regret the investment.Bought mine at amazon.com and have no complaints about it. Delivered on time just before Christmas.

Who needs a $5000 D3?

The D300 is fabulous. Nikon has given the serious amateur/professional a great camera at a very reasonable price. I can't imagine what the D3 does for $3000 more but I don't want to find out. This will be the last camera you ever need (at least until the D400 comes out).Quality and features are what you expect from Nikon. I particularly like the burst modes although you need a fast card to keep up.I recommend this camera to any photographer without any reservations.BTW, I bought mine off Amazon. No kickback from them or Nikon, unfortunately.

Great Bracket - Great Price!

I was able to obtain my JVC plasma at a great deal and did not want to blow my savings on an expensive bracket. I googled the TV and this bracket came up at Amazon. I checked it out and the price was right. I installed it that weekend and the family was enjoying a theater like experience that evening. The wall mount allows us to still view the picture without the dogs or little kids walking in front of the picture. My only con and its a slight one, is lack of a more skeletal back plane to mount boxes for in-wall cable routing. If you lay it out right you can install your power and cable boxes below the backplane. Great product.

Comfortable Jacket, but the Color Is Off

After considering several jackets I decided to purchase one of the Dorringtons from Woolrich. I like the cut and the fact that several reviews I read online commented on how comfortable and warm these jackets are. But every time I saw an image of one, the color was different. I first considered buying the dark shale because I wanted a gray jacket. But one reviewer showed a photograph of one of these jackets and it was forest green. Even though I didn't trust the colors in the catalog for these jackets, other items in the catalog described as dark wheat looked like dark wheat should look and I decided to purchase this color even though it was $50 more expensive than the dark shale. When the jacket arrived, I was disappointed to discover that it is more of a dark khaki with a slight olive hue. I haven't decided yet whether to send the jacket back, but may because it doesn't go with many of my other clothes and the double zipper doesn't work very well. Woolrich generally makes quality clothes and their sales people are helpful and friendly, but they did a poor job of representing this item in their catalogs. If color matters to you, I would caution you not to expect what appears in the catalog. If it doesn't, I think you'll find this jacket to be both warm and comfortable.

good Marlboro man coat...

Just got this coat today. It's actually darker than depicted on the website but I've noticed that's always the case with Woolrich clothing/sweaters/jackets. The double zipper is quite perplexing - I finally put the tiniest amount of WD-40 on the bottom zippers and ran them up and down a couple times. Piece of cake. I figured out you only have to pull up the top zipper.Fit's true to size, and is just the right weight. Plus, I feel like a rugged cowboy when I wear it with my boots ;-)

Woolrich is a classy company

I bought this jacket over a year ago. It's warm, comfortable and a great fit. With layering it was my go to outerwear up in No. Vermont. The zipper broke on me a few weeks ago, I contacted the company and they told me to send it back and they'd repair it. Which they did, and returned it to me on their dime. What a classy company - rare in this day and age, I think. They've made a lifelong customer in me.

im not sure about the seller. but the product is AMAZING! ive been using this one container for the past 2 years. you need VERY little. makes your hair super soft. i used it on my dads hair before i cut it and it went from dry and brittle. to soft and brushable. i bleached my bangs to dye them purple. and i use it after every shower and it makes it soft instead of like straw. how it was before i started using it. im excited for my new ones to come since im almost out

Not cut for women

I would never recommend this item to any female. Unless they sent me the wrong garment, this item cannot possibly fit a female. I purchased a size "medium", which actually was a S/M. The waist was hip-length, suitable for the way a man wears his clothing, with his belt or tie around his hips, not his true waist (like they did in the 40's). The bottom part of the robe was very, very narrow compared to the top. To wrap bottom part of the robe around my body made the pockets bulge. Speaking of pockets, they were so low I could hardly get my hands in them. Note: if the waist is around the hips, of course the pockets have to be mid-thigh. The upper body was very large and comfortably loose. The arm length was ample, long enough to cover the arms as they reach for the mid-thigh-high pockets. It is a man's robe, not a woman's. I'm very disappointed--and still cold.

Best Robe you can buy

My wife and I both bought these robes. She is always cold, and it keeps her very warm. The great thing is not only the warmth, but the length. I HATE robes that are knee length and these are long; my wife's is to her ankles and mine is lower calf...very nice. The colors are more muted than on the photos here...we got the two that are the most subtle. I know the price is high, but it is worth it if you like warm comfort.

Not very durable

I was very disappointed in these boots. They are not as comfortable as my previous Timberland Pro titanium toe and started falling apart at the seams connected to the sole in under 7 months of light use. By light use I mean walking to work from my car, use at work as an Engineer, and then back to the car and then home. So not a lot of climbing and hiking here. Granted they cost less, but come on, the upper is separating from the sole for crying out loud. I do not recommend these.

Great for work boots

I am a satellite technician and am on roofs and ladders all day, and crawling around in crawlspaces from time to time. I love these boots. The waterproofing works well for the first few months at least; after then you will want to apply additional waterproofing if that feature is important to you. Even without it(I haven't added any yet) they are pretty water resistant, I work in the rain and rarely if ever get wet feet. Bear in mind I wear these boots an average of 50-60 hours a week, in all conditions. The soles have great grip, and have saved me from injury(at least) on more than one occasion. Quite comfortable, and after 8 months of heavy use all I need is a new pair of insoles. The fabric has started to fray cosmetically but the boot itself is going strong!update and correction: 50-60 hours a week, not day, of course. Also, after less than a year of use, one of the loops for the shoelace broke when I was tightening the laces. Disappointing, certainly. The fabric just gave way. I still wear them; I'll be adding my own metal ring eventually as the boots are still serviceable otherwise.

Surprised & disappointed...

The loops for holding the laces ripped open the first time I tried to put the boots on. Had seen a couple poor reviews, but thought those might have been "1-off's", since I have always been quite happy with the dozens of timberland boots I've previously owned. Returned instead of exchange, because it looks like it's either a design or production flaw, and doubt a replacement set would hold up either.

DON'T BUY THIS PAN

I'm a loyal Scanpan user, but whatever you do, DON'T BUY THIS PAN. I've had it for 3 months, and already food sticks to the ridges. I've followed the directions very carefully and have used nothing abrasive on it. When I wrote to Scanpan to complain, the customer service rep gave me a long and tortured process to "restore" the pan. Restore? Really? The pan is 3 months old. Plus, their customer service is the pits - I think it's outsourced to Asia which would be fine except that the response was scripted and off point. Save yourself a headache and buy another brand.

Amazing indoor option.

After reading a lot of reviews I decided to buy it, I have a few Scanpan fry pans which I love, live in a condo and BBQ is not allowed so I've tried so many options, Prolodge cast iron(good but hard to clean and makes the apt very smoky) and so far this is the closet to an outdoor grill, use it to grill steaks ( fits 2 10-12 oz strip loins, 2 or 3 burgers) and it's soo easy to clean, when still warm wipe it down with paper towel and when it cools down wash it it hot running water, it does not stick at all! it doesn't make the place too smoky. If you use common sense to use it it will last long and if something goes bad with the one I have I'd buy it again, nothing lasts forever!

Unexpected Pleasure to own.

Maybe it's that I'd never owned a grill pan, but I love this one. I love the taste of a steak or chicken on the grill, but don't always want to deal with the bbq. This pan is designed to take the heat needed to sear meet and impart that char flavor and it's non-stick so it's easy clean up. I'm very please and would recommend this product to friends and family.

This ship makes a great display for all fans of the Battlestar. It is highly realistic and the single picture I got before buying it didn't really do it justice with what came in the box. It's awesome and hopefully I can get some pictures up when I get some time.

I was fortunate enough to grab one of these when they first came out and the price was reasonable.Details are better than I had expected. Great heft to this, and the stand looks good too.The bays can be swapped between the extended out versions, and the tucked in versions to simulate ready for FTL.The actual unit is slightly darker than shown on here, which is a bit more true to the show. Even has the starboard bay sealed up for the museum.For any big fan of the show, it's a great piece, since good representations of the battlestars seem to be absent.

Must have for twin parents!

Love this diaper bag! Adjustable compartments, ample space, and many outer pockets for the things you need to quickly access (pacifiers, burp cloth, cell phone, etc). I don't love the silly yellow velcro for labels (do you really need to be reminded of the suggestions of what to put where, and the symbols are not necessarily easily recognized until you know what they are), but they don't take away from the quality of the bag. Much too big for an everyday diaper bag if you only have one baby.

Not enough pockets/ does not expand much

I decided to buy this bag after hours of researching different bags and their reviews. With baby No. 2 arriving soon I needed to upgrade to a bigger bag.This back (though the dimensions are pretty big) does not expand much. The seam keeps it in its shape, so it does not bulge out much when you place things inside the bag or its pockets. This may be something desirable in a laptop bag but not a diaper bag. The 3 front pockets are also actually very small. It will not hold much more than one jar of baby food and a spoon in one pocket. Because those pockets are not very tall either I could not even fit my sunscreen in it. This version of the bag actually also does not have the inside dividers. So ultimately there are only 2 mesh pockets and a small zipper pocket on the inside. I like to have more pockets to keep things organized and prevent the bag from turning into a digging hole. It also lacks a generous mommy/ daddy pocket that fits more than just a cell phone.The bag was disappointing and I had to return it. The quality of the bag is good but I only gave it 2 stars for the lack of functionality and because it misses its purpose of having enough room for the dad/ mom with 2 kids.

Just having given birth to twins, I needed something big enough for all of their stuff. The size is big enough where I can put what they need in it and I'm able to attach it to their stroller.

GREATEST BOOTS EVER!!!

I bought my first pair of these boots 4 years ago, and it's just about time for a new pair...You can bet I'm going to buy the same thing again!These boots are tough, durable work boots, the most comfortable, walking boots I've ever owned, and at a great price.I've spent over $250 on boots that weren't as comfortable, or as durable.The only draw-back to these boots are that the light colored ones stain easily and they're hard to clean up.

Get the ones with the holes instead of the hooks...

I've had these boots for about 2 months now and I like them. They are comfortable and durable. The hooks instead of eyelets at the top are very convenient but mine came off when I pulled the laces tight. Now I need to either just deal with it and not lace the top eyelet or I need to send them in for a warranty replacement at my own cost. I think they are bound to pull out again unless I'm very careful so I wish I had just bought the boots that have holes instead. So that is what I would suggest doing.
