Comfortable Jacket, but the Color Is Off

After considering several jackets I decided to purchase one of the Dorringtons from Woolrich. I like the cut and the fact that several reviews I read online commented on how comfortable and warm these jackets are. But every time I saw an image of one, the color was different. I first considered buying the dark shale because I wanted a gray jacket. But one reviewer showed a photograph of one of these jackets and it was forest green. Even though I didn't trust the colors in the catalog for these jackets, other items in the catalog described as dark wheat looked like dark wheat should look and I decided to purchase this color even though it was $50 more expensive than the dark shale. When the jacket arrived, I was disappointed to discover that it is more of a dark khaki with a slight olive hue. I haven't decided yet whether to send the jacket back, but may because it doesn't go with many of my other clothes and the double zipper doesn't work very well. Woolrich generally makes quality clothes and their sales people are helpful and friendly, but they did a poor job of representing this item in their catalogs. If color matters to you, I would caution you not to expect what appears in the catalog. If it doesn't, I think you'll find this jacket to be both warm and comfortable.

good Marlboro man coat...

Just got this coat today. It's actually darker than depicted on the website but I've noticed that's always the case with Woolrich clothing/sweaters/jackets. The double zipper is quite perplexing - I finally put the tiniest amount of WD-40 on the bottom zippers and ran them up and down a couple times. Piece of cake. I figured out you only have to pull up the top zipper.Fit's true to size, and is just the right weight. Plus, I feel like a rugged cowboy when I wear it with my boots ;-)

I bought this jacket over a year ago. It's warm, comfortable and a great fit. With layering it was my go to outerwear up in No. Vermont. The zipper broke on me a few weeks ago, I contacted the company and they told me to send it back and they'd repair it. Which they did, and returned it to me on their dime. What a classy company - rare in this day and age, I think. They've made a lifelong customer in me.
