Found What I'm Looking For

I've never been a person to buy something just because some admired celebrity has it. I don't even wear clothes with other people's names on them. But I did see a picture of The Edge wearing a strap something like this one with his famous Explorer. So, having just bought my own Explorer (not the famous kind unfortunately) to go with my black Strat, Vox amp, and Herdim picks, and well, needing a new strap, I picked this one. I know. Shocker.It's a really nice strap though. The tapered end looks great, the padding makes it very comfortable to use, and it feels like it'll still be around by the time I actually learn to play.There are really only two minor annoyances with this strap. First is that it's so thick I had a tough time getting strap locks attached to it; I really had to wrench the hardware on but it's very secure now. Second, the inside lining of the strap is somewhat slick, and my non-famous (Epiphone) Explorer neck droops down if I'm not holding it up all the time. The cheesy thin suede-ish strap I had been using had more 'grip.' Maybe a more famous (Gibson) Explorer would be more balanced. Or maybe The Edge has to hold his (neck) up all the time, too.In any case, I definitely recommend this strap. No matter how much it coincidentally might look similar to one that might possibly have been used by some admired celebrity.

levy makes a great strap, i purchased 3 from Amazonand all ready own the wide one. i have one for mandolin,banjo,guitarand bass.the price was also good,i got 3 for what 1 would cost in mylocal shop.

Looks great in our dining room!

Bought this chandelier, along with three matching pendant lights for our bar, when we remodelled last year. The electrician said "it won't work, will be too low..." nonsense. Just needed to remove 6 links from the chain. Looks great and matches our kitchen perfectly. Very solidly built.

Great quality strap - super soft leather

Levy's makes great quality straps and this one is no exception. It looks great and is very well made. The top is super soft leather and has a great feel. The back is nice quality suede. The two layers of leather make it nice and thick so no worries about the ends ripping. But what I like best about it is that I could actually get this strap on my guitar's strap buttons. I own another high-end Levy's strap (way more expensive than this one) and the leather is so thick and stiff that it is practically impossible to get it on the strap buttons. This strap is every bit as thick, but the soft leather makes all the difference.

Great looking quality strap

I have two other Levy's straps and this one seems to be of high quality leather, the thickness of the leather combines with the suede backing make it comfortable to use for hours with my old acoustic guitar. The workmanship of the strap is spot on and it seems to get softer as time goes on unlike other straps I have had.I use strap locks with this and all of my straps and the strap seems to fit the guitar nicely. I had my reservations about the price of this thing, but it is exceptional for what it costs. I get compliments on it during practice sessions regularly. The strap is great if you are looking for a more traditional woven pattern, mine is black, but I have seen the blue in person and it is darker than the picture.

Loved the new Tail light

This light was perfect. It was a direct bolt on to the factory original. I had a problem where the wire bundle and plug from the car as well as the housing in the light had failed due to water seepage. All I had to do was cut the wire bundle from the car and splice the new wires in with the new plug and then plug that into the tail light assembly. It was perfect. Timing on shipping was great. Faster than I thought it would be. No complaints.

Great padded strap!!

Levy's has always had an excellent selection of high-quality guitar straps and this garment leather, padded strap is no exception. I have a heavy (9.5 lb) electric guitar and needed a wide, padded strap for long sessions. This one fit the bill perfectly. The price thru Amazon was well below retail...that made the purchase even easier.

A Great Strap, Especially For A Heavier Guitar

Dennis Levy and his staff make some of the best guitar straps around. Granted, there are far cheaper alternatives out there, but I chose this strap because it was 2 1/2" wide which helps distribute the considerable heft of my Les Paul much better than thinner straps. It is well padded, and the leather is beautifully finished and trimmed, which yields great looks. While I love this strap, there are a couple of things to bear in mind: because it is wide and padded it is less flexible than some other straps. This was not a problem for me, as the comfort of the strap is excellent and will likely suit everyone but the most kinetic performers. The strap is also fairly hard to push onto the strap pins (at least on my Les Paul) and requires a bit of work to get in place. The good news is that once on the guitar the strap is not going anywhere, making for a really secure feeling. The strap is adjustable from 38 to 53", and I find it to be most comfortable at its longest (I am 6'2" and like it relatively low.)I have never regretted buying this strap from Levy's Leathers, and without hesitation recommend it to anyone, especially someone playing a heavier instrument.

Great guitar strap

This is the most comfortable guitar strap that I have ever purchased. The leather is super soft and very easy on the shoulder. It just seems to absorb the entire weight of my guitar, which makes playing a heavy guitar a breeze. This is expensive but well worth the price! Highly recommended.

OEM german quality or bust!

Bought this replacement unit to match my new Fog lamp replaced in a BAD pothole accident in my A6. Both fog housings had an original 140k on them, and were marred up from rock chips and highway impacts, and the glass was even shattered on the right one. The body shop didn't want to replace both, so they chose only one. My left fog needed to be replaced as well since the fogs now didn't match! I have a HID aftermarket kit in the fogs, and i came to find out that the color temperature is vastly affected by the lamp's own glass reflection/projection, so the fog was extreme white (5000k bulbs) and my old left fog light was rock chipped and grimey with a reduced off-white. I had to replace the fog housing because it was aesthetically killing me to see the difference!Come to this purchase, and the unit i decided to go on was the OEM Hella unit, (instead of the cheap ebay replicas you can get for 60$ a pair from HongKong) I installed it and of course, now the color temps are STILL unmatched! (turns out the right replacement was sourced through a 3rd party from the body shop..) anyways i highly suggest replacing your fog housings once every 75-100k because the visibility goes up 2x. German Hella parts or Bust!

Great Strap For Bass

I ordered this strap for my old Yamaha, this is a great strap with thick connection points. Works well with strap locks (dunlop) this strap is very wide, and is leather. I was disappointed at first because is is kinda stiff however it does not affect the performance at all, I believe there is some type of stiffener to keep it from curling. I only give it 4 stars because I think the fit and finish could have been better (It is not bad but it is not stellar). I love mine and have developed a bias for Levy's straps because of it.

Wow - This is too awesome

My old strap was nice and had a suede interior. Great strap. But my bass (MusicMan Bongo 5 HH) is really heavy. This strap TOTALLY made my bass comfortable while playing. Wow this thing is awesome. Great materials, great craftsmanship, 4.5" is nice and wide. GET THIS STRAP, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. Retails for $111 on Levy's site, only paid $55 here.

The leather is nice. It happens to be very wide; so if your not used to an extremely wide strap, it may take some time to adjust This strap is very comfortable. It supports my Fender Strat all day. Good stuff.

Off set mold

So I decided to get this stock after reading all the good reviews with it . It looked great when I got it out of the box , but when I set my rifle up with the stock . My barrel sits offset in the mold . Like the company had a bad batch of molds . I don't think its effects the rifle , but it sure does piss me off when I am looking down the barrel , and it looks like is leaning to he left side.

Amazing stock

The thing i have a problem with amazon is that they have so many products they don't know what they are selling sometimes. I saw this add and i was so syked, but then i read the description of the product and saw only fits Short action rifles. But the title says Long Action (LA), anyway i didn't take the risk with amazon although i normally would have, and paid almost double for the probably same product on midway use, only for sure it would fit my .338 and not something like a .243 like what that (SA) version is.Regardless, the product described for a Long Action with a normal barrel fits me .338 like a tight perfectly molded glove and worth whatever price you end up paying, its a bit heavy unfortunatly but the grip is solid and the looks are sexy. much recommended.

Best out there period

Ok, this is the very best strap I have ever used. I play on several bass guitars, a warlock(unbalanced super bad) and Ibenez 700 erg and eda 900 erg. two have this strap and Im buying a 3rd. Dont bother to waste your money on other straps unless they are made of the same stuff as this one. Its padded, which is a must for long gigs and its leather so it does not bounce. Most important this bad boy does not loose its grip on your guitar. I do not use strap locks and there is no need to have them with these leather straps. Its hard to get it on your guitar. And dont plan on taking it off is my rule. I have nothing but good things to say. Yes it's 50 bucks but its full leather and should last you really your whole life of playing guitar. Why buy a 20 dollar strap and 30 strap locks and still be uncomfortableJohn bass- Kill the Sky heavy metal band

Excellent strap

Width and padding are good for Heavier guitar (currently being used on a Les Paul). Finish, stitching, and adjustments are quality.The only issue I had was needing super human strength to push onto the strap pegs.You might want to unscrew and screw pegs back on with the strap in place...But that means the guitar is very secure, so I am very happy.

Incredible Strap

This is an incredible guitar strap. Beautiful leather feels great on your shoulders throughout hours and hours of playing and shows. Very adjustable, one of the only straps I could find that was quality and could shorten to a more Petrucci/Shredder like height. It can also lemgthen more than enough as well, I just personally use the short setting to remain more techincal in my playing. Yes it's a more expensive strap but the quality reflects the price. You won't be sorry you bought it. After purchasing one I purchased 3 more for each one of my guitars. I would be dumbfounded to find another strap that in my opinion beats this one. My clear favorite.

Think your fretboard is clean? Think again...

I saw a YouTube video of this stuff being used and decided to try it out for myself. I regular condition my frets and wipe down my strings anyway so I was astonished on how dirty my fretboard actually was on the initial use of this stuff. The gorgomyte material turned black rather quickly and I ended up using 3 pieces for the whole fretboard but the fret wires shined like chrome when I was done. After cleaning the frets with this, reconditioning the fingerboard with some 'Gerlitz GGH Guitar Honey Fingerboard Treatment', and restringing you will be amazed at how your guitar feels and plays. Bends are sooo smooth and your fingers will glide over the strings. Definitely worth the investment and one bag should last you a long time. Be sure to keep in the bag and remove any air before sealing or it will probably dry out and lose its effectiveness.

pretty good

I like this product. I have only used it once as of this review, but, I can see how it would be very helpful for more frequent use. It does require some hard work and patience...but FAR LESS than other methods. I would recommend it to anybody that has a guitar in need of a good thorough scrub.

FREAKING AWESOME

I used this on the neck of a guitar that has been only occasionally played in the nine years since it was built, and it made it cleaner than new. The frets are like chrome, and oddly pleasing to the touch. It also gets any gunk out of the wood,and makes it look like new. My friend asked me if I got new frets because of how shiny they look. This is well worth the price.

I Have this vest its ausome!! if your looking to carry 6rnd of shotgun shells on the velcro pocket where a name plate would go theres is one company that makes it "Maxpedition 1449B: Maxpedition Horizontal Shotgun 6rnd Panel - Black 1449B" would also recommend: Blackhawk Enhanced Military Web Belt to go with your vest works good for hanging a KA-Bar from it as well this vest is high quality that you can see and feel its very confortable as well can be ajusted once its on with the 3 traps on the left and right sides either tighten it or loosen it i did that for a good fit when tring it over a parka i have the nylon is tough and stiff great stitching thruout it will take a beating that i do know the zippers are very heavy duty but then again this is blackhawk we are talking about....but you get what you pay for remember that so best of luck!!)NOTE the rifle mag pouches will hold (1)ak mag per pouch only **top pocket can hold a 642 airweight upside down with the pocket cover over it but its tight if you wanted to

Well-made and has everything most people need and more...

This is a great product and it is very well-made, but I don't use it much. I didn't buy this to roll around and play commando in my backyard. I am not affiliated with the military or law enforcement. I am simply and experienced and avid firearms enthusiast. Not that I think it wouldn't hold up to real world tactical situations, I just want to make it clear that my experience with this product is not of that nature. I simply bought it to hold gear and extra magazines when I am walking around shooting ground squirrels. For that, I don't think there is a better item for the money. Yes there are cheaper vests with similar features, but they don't feel anywhere near as well-made as this one. There are also many more expensive options, but for the average person or weekend commando it is all you need. I am very happy with the design and quality of this vest. I researched many options and I always came back to this one. You will pay two to three times as much for a molle setup of this quality.
