By Jeff Lindborg
Over all it's a nice, sturdy, pretty good looking unit for storing your weights. However I have one rather significant beef with it. The distance between the top two pipes is about ¼" too short! I have a set of Body Solid rubber coated weights in 45, 35, 25, 10, 5 and 2 ½ pound increments - pretty standard load out. The 45s and 35s on the bottom no problem, then the 25s and 10s, no problem. However, nothing can fit on the top pipe above the 25 pound plates - even the little 2 ½ inch weights hit the 25 pounders below. Rather annoying given both the weights and the tree come from the same manufacturer. It's not the end of the world and I just keep the 2 ½ pounders on the floor since I don't use them much anyway but the purpose of the tree was to get them all nicely stacked. Not sure if the weights are just a pinch larger than normal because of the rubber coating or if the tree itself is a little short - I don't have another set of weights to test against.

By Chris
Received the Body Solid GOWT Plate Tree today and set it up in about 15 minutes. Construction was very easy. I did end up breaking one of the plate tubes' plastic end caps by using a regular hammer instead of a rubber mallet, I strongly suggest using a piece of wood or a mallet to pound them in.I read a few reviews about this product that claimed they couldn't use the top tube on one side due to clearance issues. My plates, which are a standard iron plate without any rubber, fit perfectly with room to spare. I arranged them in the following order: 45's 10's 5's on one side and 35's 25's 2.5's on the other. I currently have around 500 pounds on this tree and it is very solid with no large amount of wobble side to side and feels as if it could take more. All in all I'm very pleased with the quality of this product and would recommend it others, I will update this review if anything goes wrong with it.

Good product. Decent delivery time and package. Get's the job done.Compact and out of the way. We like that it has two pole holder slots.Cons: one of the top pole slots for weights is useless on a side note. No matter how you arrange the weights, one top peg can't fit weights because it is too close to any weight you place on the second tier peg on one side (assuming you have 45 & 35 pounds taking up the bottom two pegs). We have 25 pounds and ten pounds on the 2nd tier pegs... so, above the 25's there is no room for even the 2.5 pounders on top. But, it gave us a slot for all the weight collars we have.I assumed the top two pegs would be used for 5's & 2.5's, but- whatever. We've got a lot of weights around, so that's kind of a bummer. Just an FYI. I'd still get this for the two bar holder slots on the bottom of the weight tree.
