Product Description
Purpose: Increase Under Bed Height
The GL-10 Pro Bed Glide, at 5.5" tall (see Dimensions Illustration under Additional Images), is about 3" taller than standard bed glides. Standard bed glides provide about 7" in bed height (measured from the floor to the bottom of the bedframe). Thus, the GL-10 will provide a total of about 10" total height (measured from the floor to the bottom of the bedframe.). The GL-10 is a cost-effective and safe way to give your bedframe extra height.
Increased Under Bed Storage Space
Many use the increased under-bed storage space to store out of season clothing, out of season decorations, exercise equipment, and toys -- for example.
Construction and Dimensions
- Manufactured in durable polypropylene plastic.
- 5.5" Tall (provides total bedframe height of about 10")
- Base is 3-1/2" in diameter for stable, secure support.
Included
Each GL-10 Glide includes the base section, the steel stem glide extension, and the plastic bedframe insert plug (to be used if needed).
Installation
The GL-10 is designed to replace your current glides or casters and will insert into the same location on your bedframe as the old glide / caster.
Special Note on Achieved Height Increase
The height of the GL-10 is 5.5". However, the total height achieved with the GL-10 is approximately 10" because the bedframe glide / caster receptacle positions on standard frames provide approximately 4.5" height.

High & Easy

The risers are easy to use and provides the added height needed to store additional items under the bed. One thing to note: if you're using a standard length bedskirt it may be too short once you raise your bed with the risers.

Items worked fine to elevate the bed. Just a bit wobbly. I wish the base unit was made of metal not plastic.

I used to have risers where the feet of the bedframe just sat on top of them, and the whole bed kept falling over if you sat on it too hard at an angle. These are a lot more secure, because the legs of the bedframe actually fit right into the risers. I only have two slightly negative comments:1) There was a part missing when it arrived (the legs didn't fit correctly without these clip thingies). However, I called the company, and they sent out a replacement immediately.2) If you want to move the bed, you have to pick up the risers at the same time as the frame, or else the risers fall off.Otherwise, I highly recommend them. My bed hasn't fallen over a single time!
