5Still the best IMO
By Computer Guy
This unit might be dated by a few years, but it still cranks big time wattage, reliably. The unit comes with a factory test sheet that shows peak wattage of your particular unit. Mine was tested at 1483w. I've been close to that on continuous power for benchmark runs and it never once shut off on me. With extreme cooling I run two of these in a dual GTX 580/990x or 2600k set-up. The only negative would be the unit is a little loud as PSU's go.

4Hi power but has shortcomings
By Lawrence A Team
Overall a very high quality unit from PCP&C but with shortcomings that prevent high satisfaction. Using a different design, PCP&C employ large heat sinks in their design which obstruct air flow through the chassis. High heat is generated under load requiring the need for very high speed delta fan (5000 rpm)to create enough pressure to suck heat out of the congested case. This causes high levels of noise (50 dB). This is a highly stable, well regulated 1200 watt power supply that was not designed to be quiet. It is not. PCP&C makes another line of 'silencer' power supplies that operates more quietly. All power leads are hard wired. There are no modular wires employed as in most other high end power supplies. For a fee, PCP&C will custom fabricate power cables as needed. The user will have to deal with the entire tangle of power cables in their case whether they are all used or not. Efficiency of this unit is just o.k. at about 75%-83% depending on load (83% @900 watts). PCP&P is a very high quality industrial power supply maker but there are other comparable or better choices available now.

5MaadDawwg
By MaadDaawg
Simply the best high end PSU you can put in a high end computer. Nothing else even comes close so don't throw your money away trying to save a few dollars on ANYTHING else!! Not modular, something the pics hide very well... but live with it, or die with something else.. seriously.
