Franco Il Nero PVC Figure Review

Kuro no Franco (Franco il Nero) is the second figure in Alter's trilogy of heroines from an eroge game called: Satsuriku no Jango (Tre Donne Crudeli). Franco is one of three protagonists and this figure followed after the release of Donne Anonime, the Woman with No Name. Alter's production of this 1/8 scaled figure is excellent as shown in the detailing of Franco's costume, action pose and overall design. The paint on Franco is smooth and color choice works well in capturing this beauty's look and intent. Metallic elements such as the gun, spurs, and belt are given an appropriate treatment, and the attention to detail all around is striking. This figure is based on an illustration of the character and it looks fantastic. What amazes me the most is the way the character is positioned. Franco is essentially falling back from a shootout, this achieved with a piece of clear plastic mounted to her back and to the detailed base. Though the figure is a bit delicate, the support does hold well and is well executed. Obviously there's a bit of fan service here with her panty shot but I think it gives the figure a sense of sexiness and in control because while you are somewhat distracted by her posture, you might not even notice the gun in her hand and that's when she has already got you in her sights.This figure was sculpted by Tanaka Senu and his previous work on Donne Anonime was no small feat either. I think that his second figure only proves that his skill as a sculptor is beyond reproach and he is just limited by subject matter he chooses. Senu has proven that he can take any drawn image of a character and recreate a 3D rendition of it and you won't be disappointed by the results.This figure is intended for mature collectors and if you are in the market for an incredible anime figure, this on should be on your list. My hat off to Alter for producing Franco as a fantastic figure and Tanaka Senu for a highly detailed amazing sculpt. A job well done!
