Awesome Speakers

I have been looking for surround sound speakers to complete my 5.1 channel home theater system. Finally I have found what I was looking for. As usual Klipsch delivers again.Some features to note -- The speaker "is the smallest of its kind to utilize Klipsch's exclusive Wide Dispersion Surround Technology (WDST), which ensures a dynamic, enveloping surround experience and precise localization throughout a room." Truely delivers- "careful positioning of two Tractrix® Horn loaded aluminum-dome tweeters and one 4-inch IMG woofer".My surround sound system is Perfect now!!!

I have a rather good system comprised of: Marantz AV9000 surround sound preamp Marantz MM9000 150Wx5 power amp Klipsch RB-25 mains speakers (6.5" cerrametalic woofer, 1" titanium dome horn tweeter) Boston Acoustics VR12 3 way center speaker Mirage BP150 dual 8" subwoofer source material is via sp/dif (AC3) from a mythtv/xine/linux systemAnd now the S-1 Synergy S-1The klipsch are inaudible -- that is even though I kicked them up 2db from being matched to the rest of my system via the preamp's test tone setup, one never hears anything come from them. What one does hear is an incredible spacious 3D sound field emanating from up front and passing around and to the rears without ever being localized to the speakers. It is precisely how rear speakers should function and they work perfectly at any volume that won't have the other members of my household complaining.

What can you say about these speakers except for they are perfect for the price. I actually didn't think that 7.1 would make much of a difference from 5.1, but BOY was I wrong.Now I am in a sound BUBBLE......lol. The detail that can be heard is great, and because they have horns on both sides of the speaker, sound seems to come from directly behind you if you are sitting in the middle of the two speakers. WOW, I have to tell ya, Klipsch are the speakers for me from this day forward.I would like to thank everyone that left a review before me that helped me "invest" in these speakers.
