First off, I have to mention the uncanny similarities between Blackhawk! Barrage and the Camelbak Motherlode 1000 (original Motherlode, not newer one) That being said, I was blown away by the quality of this pack. Great versatility, and size. One thing not stated in any review I've seen is that the waiste belt is removable.Pro's:1. Capacity- perfect just a sweatshirt for a day-hike, or stuffed full to create a true 3 day pack. Great overall layout, including the internal pouches and pockets.2. Versatility- extensive MOLLE/PALS webbing is robust, and milspec compatible allowing for a plethora of pouch attachments (including bottom).3. Comfort- great padding on back, shoulder straps, and waiste strap (removable). Secondary pocket is located high on pack to keep weight on shoulders, and not low on back.4. Quality/Durability- Stout YKK zippers, water/stain resistant 1000 denier nylon, re-enforced shoulder straps and carry handle, taped seams, metal drainage grommet. All cinch straps have hook-and-loop retainers for stowing excess(not chinsey elastic retainers that will wear out).Con's:1. Weight- A bit heavy (1000 denier nylon throughout)2. Adjustability- The shoulder straps don't cinch very tight (I'm really skinny). MOLLE/PALS webbing is limited on sides; only 3 rows where there is room for much more.3. Price- it is expensive for a back pack, but Blackhawk's lifetime warranty offsets that..... plus the inclusion of 100oz hydration bladder.Overall I am very happy with this pack, and am confident it will outlast me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
