Great sound and stylish looks

The black finish on this set is gorgeous and well done. It will not crack or chip with every little bump. The overall construction is very clean with no rough edges or sloppy seams. The sound is sweet and resonant beyond what one would expect from a mid-range drum. The heads are great quality hides with a nice feel and dynamic range for playing. At first I thought they were a little dull. A quick tuning with the included wrench solved that. The included stands are very stable and rugged with numerous positions for height adjustment. I have several Meinl Headliner series drums. The construction and sound quality on each has been unbeatable for an entheusiast level instrument. Keep an eye on prices! I snagged these around the 2011 holidays on a lightning deal (as in blink and it was gone) for just 2 Benjamins and a Jackson.
