Magnaflow Stainless Steel 2 inch Oval Muffler is designed to reduce the amount of noise emitted by the exhaust system and to increase engine efficiency. It is manufactured from stainless steel and comes with an oval body of 14 inches and an overall length of 20 inches. This muffler offers a single inlet and outlet measuring 2 inches that is positioned at the center. Installed on a 2004 Mazdaspeed MX-5 (Miata) Sounds great, quiet at idle and cruse, aggressive when you romp on it. Really happy with it. I'm sure it flows great, you can look right through it.

Bought this muffler for my son's 2001 Grand AM (4-cyl) to replace the original OEM muffler that had an internal baffle that was loose and would rattle. Muffler installed easy using a saddle clamp to connect it to the exhaust pipe. I had to rig up a support bracket and attach to the frame to hold up the end of the muffler. Bought a chrome exhaust tip and installed it --- looks nice with the chrome tip. Sound to a little loud, but not too loud and has a deeper sound that my teenager likes. I was impressed with the muffler construction, while the exhaust passes straight thru the muffler, it has significant packing that deaden the sound.

The name says it all, Magnaflow wide-open mufflers are the absolute best aftermarket mufflers available today. I take delight in joining Mario Andretti and Chip Foose as a proud Magnaflow product owner. It feels good.The muffler is a wonderful piece, the main case is bright, machine-finished stainless steel with "MAGNAFLOW" embossed in large letters on both sides. Robot welded seams, flawless inner tube surface, true beauty in engineering.I used this muffler on my 1.8L Miata with two inch pipe and a three inch double wall tip (MagnaFlow Exhaust Stainless Steel Tip 35122 - 3in. Diameter, 2.25in. I.D. Inlet, Double-Wall, Straight-Cut), and the sound is incredible! I have a performance long tube header on the car and this setup really let me use the torque in there. The first day it was smooth and sweet, but a touch "ricey" when I got on it. Now, it's starting to settle down and get really deep, and the best part is that because I didn't use a resonator in the mid-pipe, quick rev changes yield soaringly symphonic rapports (sounds freakin' sweet power-shifting :).[...]
