Received the kit quickly and in good secure packaging that protected the product well.Started install at 4pm local time Friday and had stock exhaust off and new until on ready for final alignment/positioning in under 45 minutes. This however is where the problem began.Once I had the system set for proper clearance, appearance, etc., I began tightening the fastners/clamps according to installation instruction. I first 'snugged' everything up so the system would hold its position and then went back to set the fasteners/clamps to the recommended torque settings. While starting at the front, the center pipe extentions and tail pipe rotated which required me to reset their position - no real issue, just a pain.I got the first clamp on the cat side of the muffler set to the recommended 65 ftlb with out issue. I started on the second and the bolt sheared off before it hit 65 ftlb's. Another pain! I punched the broken bolt out of the clamp and replaced it with a bolt I had available and got the clamp tightened. Figured I'd replace the clamp later as I expected the bolt I used to rust.Moved on to the connection at the rear side of the muffler and didn't history repeat itself. First clamp no issue, second sheared off. I had even set the torque wrench down to 60 ftlb's because of the first break. Of course this second clamp issue didn't thrill me. I did the same bolt replacement on the second clamp, figuring again I would get a new clamp and replace the damaged unit the next day. Finally got everything in place and tight - took approx two hours total - and went for a test drive. Loved the sound, improvement in performance is pretty hard to determine.Went out to get replacement clamps the next day... nobody carries these band clamps in stock!!Yesterday I went out and noticed the tail pipe hanging a little lower. The pipes at the rear of the muffler had rotated causing the tail pipe to 'droop'. Got back under the truck, made the adjustments, and re-torqued the clamps. Started the truck and immediately had exhaust condensation blowing out at all four connection points on the muffler. Couldn't tighten the clamps anymore so left it alone. Once the pipes were hot it stopped.Took it to one of MagnaFlow's local dealers and they said it was a common problem. They then said the only true fix was to weld the joints, so I let them go for it. Cost me an additional $40 but it was worth it.Aside from the clamp issues, the system is well made, easy enough to install and has a nice throaty sound.

For the price, I just couldn't pass up this deal. The package was delivered to my door with no damage to the parts nor was anything missing. The instructions were clear and assembly was easy. The sound is very pleasing, and I suspect it may deepen over time as the packs burn in.The stock muffler tip comes out of the truck exactly parallel to the ground. This MagnaFlow dual tips do not, rather they are bent downward slightly, not something that is of desire when backing up to a parking curb. Often, the bottom of the tail-pipe tips will scrap on the parking stop, due to the slight downward angle of the tips. I suppose I could take them off and take them to a muffler shop to have them bent to the proper angle, but then that's more work and more money out of my pocket.Hopefully, MagnaFlow will correct this problem in the future.
