Nice Parts, Doesn't Fit Well

I bought this system to replace the failed factory exhaust on our 2005 Grand Prix GXP. The parts are very high quality and should last forever. The sound is great and I expect that the system flows much better than the factory system. I've done a lot of auto repair and modification including exhaust work on various cars I've owned/built/modified. The system generally fits where it should but the bends are not proper and a full and good installation of this kit will require some modification and/or welding in place. I tried two different kits and ended up paying a custom fab shop another $250 to lock it in properly after not being able to get the system properly aligned myself with multiple tries using the supplied clamps. The resonator wouldn't align down the tunnel and pulled the catalytic converter to the passenger side, it didn't clear the sway bar well and the mufflers/tail pipes also were difficult to line up well. If you plan on spending some money to install the system, you'll come away happy. I am happy now but was disappointed in having to pay someone to finish the install.

Love it but not perfect

I bought this and the K&N Cool air intake for better fuel mileage. I picked up 3-4mpg with both installed. I agree that this kit will not mount without modifications but any muffler shop can do it.Cost me $80 install, no biggy.In my humble opinion there is NO better sounding LS4 I have ever heard. I get comments weekly about my deep throaty sound, the ONLY downside is the sound at certain RPM's resonates pretty good in the cabin of the car. I can handle it, not that big of a deal 99% of the time.Had a friend do a video of me getting on the interstate, from 30 to 75ishmph, on a headset it sounds great, on my phone it stinks. lol...I would HIGHLY recomend this exhaust.

Did not purchase this product from Amazon but did do some review research here before I purchased. Is a great fit for my 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP. With the help of my auto mechanic buddy and his garage (that means you "Piper") we had the old exhaust down and the Magnaflow up within an hour. The only tips I would have is to get everything fitted loose and hung under the car, and then start playing with placement and get everything tightened down one by one. Everything seemed to fit together well and didn't seem too out of place under the car. FYI the CAT to Resonator gasket is NOT included in the kit... make sure and get one before you get started. Might also be a good idea to have a set of replacement bolts/nuts to fasten the CAT/Resonator. I had 140,000 miles on my car when we redid the exhaust because one of the original mufflers had rusted out... needless to say the bolts at the CAT were pretty rusty too.Sounds and looks great.... Would purchase from this manufacturer again.
