You cant beat Bestop's quality, excelent. And I doubt you'd find a better top for a CJ.But the top has some minor issues for CJ7s that make it just a shade less than "Super".The cross bar on the rear window interfears with the latches on the tail gate, making opening/closing the window and or tail gate a slight hassel. (swing out tire, unzip, reach in, unlatch, drop tail gate, unhook cross bar, roll up window, put tail gate back up, swing in tire) Not the end of the world but something to be prepared for, and on the plus side the cross bar system makes and excellent seal to the tailgate when all closed up.And this could just be me and my jeep but despite adjusting the windshield tilt, I still cant get the top front edge of the doors to seal against the WS frame.But it sure beats the heck out of my 13 yearold Tiger Top.

Bestop a great product

Our 1982 CJ7 was never drilled/fitted for a top before, which meant we had to get the Supertop, and also had to drill. The drilling was a 2 person job(for measuring reasons), but after that, it wasn't too bad. The only other slight snag we had was figuring out the back bar on the frame and fitting the top over it. Directions aren't too clear on that step, and as having never done this before, we were afraid of breaking it if we pulled down too hard. Overall, having never done this before, it really wasn't too bad. Especially considering how hard I thought it would be.
