Misrepresented color and quality - buyer beware

We received this from our Amazon registry. The lid was shoved inside of it when we opened the box which caused warping. In addition, it is flimsy and much darker than it appears in the photo (we ordered the brown one). DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS UNLESS YOU ARE SURE YOU WANT IT! We are now dealing with the worst headache trying to return it. Because it is not sold directly through Amazon (it is through Home Decorators Collection), they insist that the credit has to go back to the original purchaser and they can not give you a credit for it. So unless Amazon steps up to help, I have to contact the person who bought it for me, tell them it didn't work out and that they will be getting a credit of $80 back to their card and hope that they are willing to go through the hassle of getting us something else. Seriously the biggest pain in my a$$, and that's saying a lot for a woman who's 8 months pregnant. This inconvenience goes for all third party items purchased through Amazon, so word to the wise, don't register for items not sold by Amazon...

I put this hamper in my sons nursery and everyone that sees it just loves it! the color is exactly as it is shown online. its VERY durable! the size is perfect for any room in the house

I purchased this hamper in white for our daughter's nursery and I just love the way it looks and the quality of construction. I believe it will last for many years to come. The only thing I wish were a bit different is the lid to the hamper. I wish the lid had some sort of lip around it to hold it more firmly in place, but that truly is not a huge deal.
