Really Nice Looks & Performance

These are really nice looking cabinets! The pair I got matched in finish and wood grain with the top of one cab being just a smidge lighter in color! The satin finsih on the cabs and baffles was smooth with no defects of any kind.To route the baffles I covered the baffles with "Contact Paper" picked up at wally world! Masking tape works, but the seams can easily be picked up and rolled by a jasper jig and tears ensue exposing the painted surface! A caution should be added here, contact paper exposed to sunlight/heat tends to transfer the light adhesvie to the surface it is attached to! Recommend doing your routing in a shaded and cool area or you will be doing some time consuming cleaning to remove adhisive..not fun!The baffles do not come with any kind of seals or gaskets, so you will have to come up with your own to seal them good once they are installed! To seal mine, I cut strips from a roll of "Grip Premium Liner" also made by Contact and sold at Home Depot. This a soft rubber product and works nicely as a gasket material! The BREX system is nice for those who want to change what kind of drivers that can be used in this cabinet with out removing everything. R & R at it's best!! The cloth grills have magnets, that are held in place by the baffle screws! Each cab comes with a long allen wrench to snug the baffle screws down(nice touch)! For my MTM project, I used Vifa's D27-35-06 Cloth Dome Tweeter and Vifa's M13SG-09-16~ 5 1/4" Woofers for a pretty nice 8 ohm system
