Great for small systems for rears

These are well built speakers that I used for 2 years in a dorm room environment for some music at my desk. Powered with a small subwoofer/amp combo I had lying around they performed well enough in that role. They go pretty loud and sound pretty decent in the highs and mids; but don't expect any bass. I payed $40 a speaker and that was a good price. Anything over 60 each and I think you can safely look somewhere else.
