I have owned thus unit for about 3 months and if has worked well so far. I don't like that the fan never shuts off. The hose outlet does take a little assembly but works well. Update 9/12: I have found that the fan does eventually switch off after a long period of time. Update 4/13 Unit is still working. It is noisier than what I would consider average for a dehumidifier, this mostly seems due to the plastic case buzzing from the vibration of the unit. I recently purchased a Winix which is quieter but does not show what the actual humidity is like the Alen does. It is more difficult to convert the Alen for hose discharge (requires installing a small section of hose inside the unit).
