Performs as well as the Xerox brand for about 60% the price

The best delivered price that I've been able to find for Xerox brand toner cartridges for my Phaser 5400 network printer is about $218.00. Xerox brand cartridges typically deliver between 21,000 and 24,000 impressions for me before they run out of toner. This translates into a cost of about 0.96-cent per impression.Images from this less-expensive cartridge are as good as the ones that I get from the "brand name" cartridge. As of the date that I first wrote this review, September 9, 2009, this cartridge had delivered 6,693 impressions and had 68% of its toner remaining. If consumption had remained linear, and if the printer was accurately reporting how much toner was now in this cartridge, I estimated a yield of about 20,915 impressions before the toner would be exhausted. That would have translated into a cost of about 0.59-cent per impression or about 40% less. This cartridge actually performed better than that.After carefully tracking the number of impressions that I got from this cartridge. I updated this review on June 3rd when the cartridge finally ran out of toner. Total impressions yielded from the cartridge were 23,800, which worked out to 0.5-cent per impression. Therefore buying these cartridges for my printer significantly reduced the cost of my consumables. I reordered another cartridge and will continue using them as long as they continue performing well and saving me money.
