Beautiful but low.

These are beautiful tables. The picture represented on Amazon is exactly what I received. The issue I have is these tables are 3.5" lower than the tables I replaced. They are almost an inch lower than my armless chair. The fact that they are so low makes the lamps look and feel too close to the floor. It also moves the light from the lamps down past reading level. I'm keeping them because I want to be rid of the glass and wood style tables I had. In the next year, I will probably replace these new ones as well. I'd prefer higher, standard sized tables, but these will do for now.The end tables are less than 19" tall. My old tables were 22" exactly. Doesn't seem like much, but you will easily notice a difference went they are set beside your sofa or chair. My old coffee table is only an inch taller than these new ones, but I'm ok with the difference there.

Received this set today - easy to assemble, really pleased with the finish and excellent quality of the materials. It is an absolutely beautiful addition to our living room, I would highly recommend this purchase.

Let me start by saying REAL WOOD! These are beautiful with rich brown tones, easy to assemble,(only attach legs and bottom shelf) and very solid. Even the hardware was much better quality than most the stuff you buy online. The height is good, as well as the size overall.
